The media could not be loaded. We had a freeze in Texas recently and the pipe that carried water to my outdoor kitchen sink froze and cracked. The only repair would be to run a new line above ground and along the house and then drill through my outdoor kitchen stone to reconnect water to the sink. I figured I was just going to have to live without a sink. Then I saw this product. Initially I saw one on Google search for $950. Literally the same product but it has a bucket for a sink drain line and it comes with the 5 gallon water jug. I didn’t need the drain and I got the water jug off Amazon for $25. With this $79 pump setup and the jug, I was able to get my sink working again!!! Even if this thing dies 4 or 5 times and I replace it, it’s still a huge savings from the one I saw online and a much better fix than having an ugly water line strapped to my house. ... show more

    • YOU MUST PRIME THIS PUMP OR WONT WORK. Here is how.
UPDATED REVIEW AFTER ONE YEAR USE: Has worked perfectly for a one year constant use. Origonal review: I bought this over a year ago and finally installed it yesterday and today. I remain impressed by the very sturdy build of the plastic housing and the fittings. So I was and am hopeful. The instructions didnt seem to bad so when I got it all installed it just sat there running but not pumping water at all I was pretty surprised. Go up this morning determined to try and get the air out by priming the sytem. As suggested in another review I 1. sucked water through the feed line from the water jug and then quickly attached to the pump. No joy. I tried 2. filling the pump with water and then step 1 again. No joy. Then 3. I put the jug up on the counter and got a siphon of water going through the feed hose before attaching to the pump. Still no joy. Then I 4. filled the pump again with little water and holding it with the ports upward plugged it in and turned it on and got that little bit of water moving. Then did steps 1 to 4 again and this time JOY JOY it finally started pumping water!! They really should put instructions about this in the manual. Im very stubborn and got this working after several hours of work. I believe most people would have taken a hammer to it long before that. Thus 3 stars for now. However there was a little half second brr sound from it ongoing every 20 seconds or so even after I turned off the faucet. As if it was starting to come on but then didnt. I went back to check for leaks and found one at the faucet connection. When I tightened it up the pump stopped trying to come on . Problem solved. The relay is senistive to even a small flow of water so if you hear your pump trying to cylce like I described it could be because there is a small leak. A nice accidental feature! The only other thing is that the red light that had been coming origonally in the on off switch no longer comes on ever. Not sure if this is the way it is supposed to work but it seems to be working fine now. I will follow up with a further review if it continues to work well or has problems. ... show more

    • simple and functional .... for a few weeks
has more water pressure than the last one I had. Hopefully it'll last longer than that one. A bit noisy but it's a small water pump, it's not going to be silent.... Well, i started this review 3 weeks ago and thought I should wait before I gush over how nice this thing is and what good water pressure it has. Good thing I waited because now here we are and the pump has ceased to pump. Nothing, trying to figure out if and how it can be swapped out. Hate to throw $ away, I don't make enough for that. ... show more
