If you have a spill you can clean it quickly and the rug is not going to absorb it. It might feel wet after you clean it. Is easy to clean in a laundry mat. The media could not be loaded. I gave 4 stars not because it isn't soft, but damn it's VERY thin and sitting on the rug to put together my new bedframe was not as comfy as my previous rug, even with a rug mat under it. I wish it was a bit thicker for some support, BUT ....i also have a dog and foster, so i have to take the upside of it being washable and easy to clean. I havent vaccuumed it yet, but I'm sure it'll be a 50/50 where it gets sucked up so ill start with a low setting. The color is GORGEOUS though and it is very very soft, easy to unfold, didnt smell chemical-like, and had no folds or creases. For an amazon deal of $100 for an 8x10 that i needed quick?
