The lamp is not linen color or white, it looks more natural beige or light brown. The part that you attach on the bottom to hide the 4 bulbs looks extremely cheap. It's not frosted glass but plastic. The day light from my windows bounces off from it and the plastic cover becomes shiny, which makes the look worse. In my opinion the lamp is over priced. The fixture was installed in a room with very little natural or other sources of light. In this location one cannot tell that the the diffuser panel on the bottom is plastic. I suspect that if it was subject to an external light, such as a bright window, it would have a shiny, plastic appearance. It certainly didn't look very good, when I unpacked it in another, well-lit room. With 4 sockets and good quality LED bulbs, purchased separately, it really lights up the room and looks great. This light would be nice were it not for the hideous plastic diffuser that fits to the bottom of the shade. It's hard, shiny plastic. Not attractive at all.

I like the design. The only thing I don’t like is the seam of the shade that runs perpendicular to the base on one side. I faced the seam to a wall that will hide it best; it’s fine for the space.

We bought two of these for our kids’ 10x12 and 9x10 bedrooms. The rooms don’t get a ton of natural light, so the 4 bulbs in the fixture are a huge benefit. This light is awesome. We were trying to find something with 4 bulbs that was contemporary. However, we did not want the bulbs to show since the Edison type bulbs are not as bright as regular bulbs. This is very bright and gives the room plenty of light.
