Upon opening it, it definitely looked strange. We thought the pattern would be more woven in but it honestly looked like it was printed on. We held our breath and washed it hoping for the best and it paid off, this rug is beautiful and unless you're looking super close, you'd never notice the pattern isn't woven in. This is crazy soft and we're so excited to have it in our nursery. Going back to washing this rug, it is of course washable as advertised which is the main reason we bought it for our nursery. If you're putting this in carpet like we have, you'll definitely want to look into getting a nonslip pad or carpet tape as it can move quite a bit. On top of that the top is pretty slick and it's not quite a slipping hazard but your feet will definitely slide around if you put your weight on it weird. This will likely get better with time. I love this rug so much! It is seriously the softest rug I have ever owned. Its huge, the pattern is perfect. * It's too thin for a regular upright vacuum. It will get stuck. * Have not had to wash yet, but with the size I got, I wouldn't be able to fit it in my washer anyways. Spot cleaning is super helpful though. * I have 4 pets and it does great at hiding fur (I vacuum ir daily with a handheld) and has help up to all of their playing, nails and everything. * No weird odor or anything when I first opened the package. ... show more

Absolutely perfect for the price! I recommend this rug for anyone that has pets. I recently got this rug and have not washed it yet but the material is so similar to other washable rugs I've already had and washed multiple times so I don't doubt it's the same. I'll probably update this review after the first wash. The material is soft and the thickness is perfect enough to lay on hard flooring without looking wrinkled but also perfect to bundle up and throw in the washer. I got the 6*8 size I think. Or 6*9? I searched high and low for a green checkered rug for my son’s room. This was the best looking one and so cheap! It’s soooo soft. I love the rug - I just wish it was thicker. I’ll never wash it because it’s under a very heavy loft bed and dresser so I was looking for a regular rug, but I’m keeping this anyway. I bought a rug pad to put under it to hopefully keep it in place better and make it feel a little more cushioned. It doesn’t stick to the rug mat that well, but it is comfier to walk on now. Only lasted 6 months from purchase. Looked beautiful, initially. Stains super easily and is inconvenient to wash in the washing machine as advertised, since a) it’s so large it barely fits in the washer and b) it’s a pain to remove an 8x10 rug from under furniture. Also is super thin and wouldn’t constantly ripple under our sectional. Impossible to keep flat. I used a bissell green machine upholstery cleaner on it and it barely made a dent on the dirt/stains. I don’t recommend purchasing, unless you hardly go in the room that you intend to purchase it for. Not functional for daily living. ... show more
