Description

Magnetic drive pumps are designed to operate continuously with minimal energy consumption. The PES Series pumps offer a corrosion-resistant body designed for submersible use only. They are easy to install and maintain. All PES Series pumps have a built-in adjustable flow control valve which can easily lower the flow of the pump to customize the look of your fountain. The Little Giant PES-800-PW uses just 0.95 Amps/90 Watts of power. It has a 3/4" barbed discharge and can circulate up to 875 GPH at 1-ft. lift. It has a shut-off height of 11.75-ft. and can pump up to 7.8-ft. high with an acceptable flow rate. This pump is ideal for large statuary fountains or ponds up to 875 gallons. A typical pond that this could be used for would be 6.5' long x 6' wide x 18" deep.

Searched forever for a fountain pump that would take my existing PVC pipe thread because it was glued to the tubing going through the fountain. Store-bought pumps were not powerful enough, and did not move the water. This fountain pump comes with adjustable nozzles for the PVC thread, but you do not have to use it. The existing 3/4 female opening on the pump had a thread you could use with or without the nozzle and that could fit my existing 1/2 male fitting. Pump is adjustable, so even though picture shows it coming out a little more powerfully, the next lower setting had it more of a trickling out of the top. Easy do it yourself project that started out not so easy. Perfect GPH and head height. My Fountain is not 8 feet tall but I believe this Fountain pump said for 8 feet fountains. Need a little more, research says 1.5 times more head height than fountain height. ... show more

I've had some Little Giants last for years. I still have one that has been working for 10 years. This pump failed after 6 months of operation. The plastic shield around the impeller shaft cracked. The shaft then wobbles uncontrollably, grinding and eating away at the remaining plastic, eventually locking up. ... show more
