Description

Magnetic drive pumps are designed to operate continuously with minimal energy consumption. The PES Series pumps offer a corrosion-resistant body designed for submersible use only. They are easy to install and maintain. All PES Series pumps have a built-in adjustable flow control valve which can easily lower the flow of the pump to customize the look of your fountain. The Little Giant PES-130-PW uses just 0.23 Amps/11 Watts of power. It comes with 1/2" and 3/8" barbed adapters. It can circulate up to 130 GPH at 1-ft. lift. It has a shut-off height of 5.5-ft. and can pump up to 3.7-ft. high with an acceptable flow rate. This pump is ideal for medium statuary fountains up to 130 gallons.

This pump was larger than the pump it replaced. It worked perfect for a large two foot high fountain it is used for. It has been in use for about two months with no problems. I expect this pump will last as it seems to be heavier duty build than the original pump which only lasted a year. I have used Little Giant pumps of various sizes for over thirty years and they have always been reliable when used and cared for as recommended. Update: 5-7-2014 I put the pump back in operation after another winter is over and it is still working like day one. A key factor in my opinion is to clean your pump screen if you see debris in the water or a reduced flow. It takes strain off the motor and it may last longer. ... show more

I've had it in my patio pond for over a month and haven't had any issues with it. Quiet and runs good! Its slight overkill for my pond and I turned it down and it was still a little to powerful but I looked at the owners manual and it suggested if its still to powerful to put a valve on the tubing and to use that to restrict it to fine tune the flow. That helped me to fine tune everything to get the spitter to shoot exactly how far I wanted it to. I used it for a spitter and I used half inch tubing and I have it lifting the water about 16" high, at that height it was a little to powerful and was easily able to shoot the water stream about 4ft. I had a hard time trying to figure out what size pump I needed to get the desired flow, the valve idea helped me to get it to work exactly like I wanted. Plus the valve idea shouldn't hurt the pump since restricting the flow in this way is no worse than increasing the height that the water is being lifted which restricts the flow in the same way. I'm happy with the purchase though I could've done a better job to find the right size pump to begin with. The pump works great though. ... show more

This is a great little pump. We have a fountain in the garden at our front door. The sound is lovely, and it just plugs in to the garden wall outlet. I live in Florida, so the LITTLE GIANT gets a work out all year round.

For its small size, the Little Giant keeps on running like that Every Ready Bunny! I turn on my fountain almost daily and run it all day, and sometimes for 24 hours non stop 'cause I forget to turn it off.....it just doesn't quit. For the reasonable cost, and what it can do everyday rain-or-shine, you would have to be slightly mentally challenged not to buy one or a dozen or more......this gismo really works! ... show more

We bought this pump for a fountain I received through a buy nothing group that didn’t come with a pump. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be sized appropriately for our needs. This fountain has a 21” rise and an opening at the top of 11/16”. We attached flexible tubing to the pump outlet and ran it to the top of the fountain. The pump was definitely powerful enough, to the point it was jetting out the top at least 6” above the top of the fountain. We dialed back the adjustment on the pump, which made no appreciable difference. So we cut back the tube, let there be a bit of a gap between the end of the tube and the top of the fountain, so there was some spill back. That solved our problem and the water has about a half inch rise as it comes out the top of the fountain now. The automatic shut-off has been handy. We’ve accidentally left it on overnight once or twice and I’m glad it can turn itself off to avoid damage. We purchased a remote switch to turn the fountain on and off from inside our home, which as worked wonderfully and been so convenient. We have a smaller version of this pump in another fountain that has lasted for years and we’ve been very happy with it. ... show more

I ordered this pump pre-spring and let it sit in its box until it was warm enough to install and get the outdoor fountain running. I installed it a few days ago. It ran very good for 48-hours. Now -- it turns on and off at intervals. All electrical circuits check out -- just something funky with the pump; and too late to return it per my holding it for spring. It is new out of the box -- and works at times. The problem is that it decides when it will choose not to run. Not what we wished -- so we will be ordering another pump (not this one / company) and reinstalling all over again. This one is off to the recycling bin. ... show more

This pump replaced a little giant (different model) that lasted 15+ years. This one is very nice. Includes three different output ports to you can use three different tube sizes. I like everything about it (it has only been running 2 hours) EXCEPT one serious problem. The plug is very long and the cord very stiff. The result is that you cannot plug it into an outside electric box and close the cover. My old little giant could and two other pumps that I have can, but not this one. So if it rain I may get water in the electric box which is not good! ... show more

It put out a substantial stream of water at approximately a four foot head(pumping height). It came with three screw in connectors for different size hose. I have had very good long term success with Little Giant pumps.
