Great little speaker for the money. I bought it mainly for videos and podcasts on my phone and was not disappointed. It really packs a punch for its size. The sound quality and battery life are good, and I added a loop for extra portability. Excellent sound quality full sound play down nice and low pairs with my hydra mini combined sound output is fantastic I don't want to of the same speakers this lets me pair my 2 different altec speakers together a feature that isn't advertised for under $40 for both nothing comes close

I needed to replace a small bluetooth speaker I was using for work, and after reading the rave reviews about this speaker, I bought it. Speaker received and the sound is not like most are raving about. Even at max volume, it's just not that loud and is distorted. I played around with equilizer settings and just can't get this speaker to sound good. It's getting returned and I will spend a little more for a better speaker. If you will be within 10 feet of this speaker at max volume, you'll be good. If you need to hear it over a sneeze, look elsewhere. ... show more

I love to listen to music and sing in the shower. I've had a variety of low end speakers for the bathroom and most of them have been fine. The audio quality is a bit on the bass-y side. In fact, whenever I set it on the side of the bathtub, it falls in from the vibration. I recently discovered it came with a strap, so I attached the strap to one of my shower hooks. The body of it feels very good in the hand. It's got some weight to, and feels premium. The buttons are squishy, but also feel very premium. The welcome clip that plays when you turn on the speaker, "Welcome to Altec Lansing" has become endearing to me somehow, which is kind of funny to me. I tend to mock it when it come on by saying it in harmony. One day while using it, I asked my wife to skip a song for me on my phone. She mentioned that with many speakers you can hold the volume up (+) button, and it will skip the song on your phone. Mind blown, and so happy that this speaker has that feature as well! ... show more

I take this to the stable where I ride my Arabian horse. Put it on top of a fence post in the indoor arena. It's fallen off a couple times, takes a beating, keeps playing like a champ! Big, lovely sound, easy to hear while I ride. Horse likes it too! Recommend highly--but delivery took a long time. Check on that in Amazon before you order. ... show more

After 8 months, all of a sudden it broke it seems. I am super tech savvy and did everything including troubleshoot here on the Amazon app, review the manual, reset multiple times the device and my connecting device (phone) and still no visibility of the product to pair with anymore. And before when it was visible, it would immediately say it couldn’t connect - tried this with 3 different devices and same thing. I have another Bluetooth I use in the exact same way and have never seen this before (nor does it have a reset button) for over 2 years. I wish I could get my money back. ... show more
