I have always enjoyed that Listerine “zing” and was wondering if that would be missing from this version but no, I still got that same “zing” though it was slightly lesser than the original Listerine which is quite strong. I was also wondering what this pink liquid would taste like, thoughts of bubble gum went through my head, but the flavor is actually very good! The label says it is “Icy Mint” which was not very minty to me but rather a very pleasant refreshing flavor that lasts a very long time… longer than other mouthwashes I have used. I’ve usually used generic brand options before, but decided to give this a try. I’m impressed with the effectiveness. After rinsing, my mouth feels significantly cleaner and my breath fresher. I tested it shortly after drinking a cup of coffee and noticed immediate effects in the smell of my breath. The effect was surprisingly long-lasting, too, for some time after rinsing. In particular, I liked that, once you’ve rinsed, the taste that remains is fresh, but not overly minty. This has the familiar "fresh and burning tingly" feeling that I have come to expect with stronger antiseptic mouthwashes. This kept my breath fresh for a long time, too. My mouth feels cleaner when using this. Per my dentist, I floss first (loosen up the gunk), then brush, and finally use the mouthwash. This mouthwash has a nice minty taste that feels clean. No chemical weirdness or alcohol burn to it, it's not a hassle to swish and swirl in the mouth. I've used it every day for over a week now, and my gums have noticeably improved. They're less red and tender and some spots where I would bleed from when flossing have since stopped. Initially tastes much like any other mouthwash before fading to an initially fruity (almost bubblegum) flavor. Then the zinc kicks in. It tastes like a zinc lozengier and that taste sticks around for hours. That's got to be a good thing and suggests the zinc really persists. Contains alcohol but no flouride.     • Icy mint freshness! Weird color for mint!
This mouthwash is nice and refreshing and leaves my mouth feeling nice and clean. It does not have a severe bite like other versions of this mouthwash but still leaves my mouth feeling really good. It was suggested by my dentist to use this type of mouthwash and I figure who else better to know!
