I bought these markers to use on an A-frame chalkboard sign after initially buying regular chalk. I realized very quickly that the chalk would not stick well to my chalkboard's smooth surface, but I didn't want to use paint or anything permanent. I was glad to find these chalk markers. They write easily, just like paint pens, but remove effortlessly with a wet paper towel, leaving no trace behind. The dried product does not smudge or wipe off as easily as regular chalk; it requires water. 5 stars for paint-like coverage and easy clean-up!!! (I have included a photo comparing the regular chalk and the chalk markers.)

I can’t speak for how it writes/erases off wood or other porous surfaces- I bought for use on a glass chalkboard. I typically am not a huge reviewer but have to go out of my way here to give a thumbs up to these markers. They make a sharp, DENSE white line. I needed a thin line and switched the tip out accordingly - this way it writes like a typical coloring marker, making tiny details. The labels are right inside the box and they’re a useful size to me - great for mason jars etc. I wonder if folks who claim theirs arrived dried out followed directions - you do need to saturate it initially, I’d guess 10-15 seconds and you can visibly see the ink flowing. It was a minor thing but the previous marker was always frustrating to use, I’m glad I looked around for an alternative and found these!

I have purchased other makers for my chalkboard that were either hard to remove or wouldn't come off, but these makers were GREAT!! Super easy to wipe off with a wet rag, didn't leave any marks. I was able to erase and start over with ease as needed with just a wet rag or paper towel. Make sure it dries completely before touching or it will rub off. I only wish these came in colors as well, but otherwise fantastic product.

I'm using these for glass storage containers (Sugar, Flour, etc.). So far, they have held up great and I haven't had to reapply the text. I've had the same labels on for about 2 months now, and they get a pretty good amount of use. Very minimal smearing from frequent use. The text is a little tricky to remove altogether, but I noticed that wetting a paper towel seemed to do the trick for me (maybe the chalk wasn't completely dry, not sure, but it came right off). I'm not too concerned about it, as I plan to simply replace the chalk decals if I run across this issue in the future. I can see where this may be an issue when using on a chalkboard or chalkboard wall. I'm not using this pen for a chalkboard, so for stickers, I couldn't be happier with the sharp clean lines (almost like white marker). A+

These are the best markers I have purchased to date! I have used many many markers in the past. They dry up, run too much ink, set too fast on the board before you’re done, and can be hard to remove. I bought some pens from Hobby Lobby & within writing my first word, they stopped working on me. They were streaky & I couldn’t fix it because trying to rewrite it made the letters clumpy. I ended up ordering these instead and I finished writing this board in almost the same amount of time it took me to write a few words with the other markers. These ones run nicely, build up well, don’t dry too fast, and are easy to erase!

These markers write very well. I’ve hade zero issues with them being dried out. The cleaning off is a little tricky. 1) If you write on actual chalkboard or chalkboard paint they will not wipe off completely. I tried dry wiping, wiping with water. Even with some alcohol. Still left “ghost” writing on. SOLUTION FOR ME.... I went out and bought “chalkboard contact paper” covered my little board with that and now it wipe off like magic. Just a bit of water and viola, no residue, no “ghost” letter. Just clean. The labels are great far as look and sticking well. If you plan to reuse them, again it does not wipe off completely.

I read reviews on chalkboard pens until my eyes hurt before buying this brand. I'm glad I did my homework because these work great. When you get them make sure you shake them up well & then press the tip down hard on a piece of paper a few times to get the chalkboard ink flowing. Once you do that they work great. At first it seems like they don't work until you do that to them as the directions that come with them explain. The ink is nice and bright white, and I love how I have the option to pull the tip out with a paper towel, flip it over and change it to a finer pointed chisel point pen. This will be my go to chalkboard pen from now on. I tried other brands in the past which pale in comparison to the nice bright way these write.

These markets are very good. Now we leave notes almost in any place. My wife use it to identify what she put inside her mason jars. Even we left mesages on the kitchen top so my son knows what to do. Very good to solve math problems without spent paper. Great buy!!!
