    • Great Product If You Are a Rocket Scientist

Bought it for our 5th wheel RV with a Lippert door. Following the instructions for Lippert itself - perfect fit and no frustration. Sturdy product and looks great. Would be a 5 star ... but here is the rub. Comes with 4 height extenders. My door screen is about 4-5 inches taller then the "ones size fits all" panel alone. So had to use the 4 erector set filler panels - each of different design and shape. Instructions are useless - unless you are maybe a rocket scientist. A frustrating hour playing with it and trying to make different combos fit together and hang steady and we give up. Have 2 panels installed. A 2" gap at the top remains unfilled. When the door is slammed a panel or 2 fall out as they only have one side connectivity???? Not 2 sides (make them wider Lippert!!!! to slide into the channels) or 3 sides - but gravity and one side alone - and that doesn't even snap in place. Super panel and super easy to install and great looking - and if 2 adults and a crummy instruction sheet could only figure out how to make the gap fill work - or Lippert would redesign them it would be a GREAT product. ... show more

Great product! We added this to the bottom of our RV screen door to help dog-proof it, and it works perfectly. It looks nice, is good quality, and was very easy to install. It does protect the screen, but it doesn’t fit properly. Yes, I measured twice. The latches at the top are perfect, the pieces at the bottom to fit in the grooves are about 1/8 inch too narrow. Even the spacers at the bottom are too narrow and will not stay in. I will now have some black duct tape holding on a $100 screen protector. I could’ve done that much cheaper with something from Lowe’s. ... show more

Over all it a nice addition to the screen door to protect the screen. You will have to make the bottom adjustment real tight, my door you have to close fairly hard and the guard keeps falling out. Needs to have pins like the top, on the bottom spacer (filler) there’s nothing there to hold it in place. ... show more

Our new rv came with the door shot installed! I had contacted Lippert to see if this screen protector would work in conjunction with the door shot and their tech said no . I said are you sure because I measured it and I was almost positive it would work. I asked Etrailer also and they said no. I ordered it and it arrived today . It took me 10 minutes to pop it in and it works like a charm. They don’t even know their own products . This is the 30” door screen . For the bad news: Amazon shipped it In its original packing which is thin cardboard with no protection . It had been opened before and retaped . It has a bend in it and the frame work isn’t in line at the corners. They box a lot of items that don’t need to be re boxed but this needed to be re boxed. It looks horrible ! 4 stars is due to the quality and I’m being generous - RV stuff is poorly constructed as a rule and I couldn’t find another one that I liked. When it gets replaced I’ll be happy with it. Update: the replacement came in clean and packed in a protective box which was as should be but I have to say Do Not waste your money on these- they are flimsy, very light weight Junk. We take very good care of our belongings so they will last a long time but the screen is already popping out of its frame on the second day of our trip. This one will be sent back also! ... show more
