This yarn is more expensive here than locally, which is frustrating, because I could have bought it locally and the ONLY reason I did not was that I thought this was a different color that was not available locally. It’s much darker than pictured here on Amazon, and, in fact, is the same one I passed up at my fabric store. Nice color (Denim)! Quickly worked in to a beautiful sweater/jacket for my toddler grandson - free pattern on Lion Brand's website "Zip Back Hoodie". Adapted it for size 2. This yarn is more bulky than in the pattern. After some figuring and measuring, I changed all the line measurement numbers on my copied pattern. I was very satisfied with the results. HAD TO hand sew the zipper. My sewing machine was not up to the task. ... show more

It’s a great color, good texture, and it’s soft. Unfortunately, it looks like two pieces of this yarn were tied together. My other two oatmeal colored skeins were fine. It’s just the denim one that has problems.

This wool-blend yarn knits up quickly, and it is a joy to the touch. Best of all, it is machine-washable, which makes it perfect for afghans.

Chunky, warm, and soft, this yarn works up fast and creates excellent pieces. A simple single crochet stitch is all you need to make a lovely afghan or throw. Hands down my favorite yarn.

    • Picture is not accurate. The denim color is much darker.
I ordered "Denim" color. It's very thick and soft, but I'm leaving 2 stars is because the picture is not accurate. The yarn I received is dark/deep blue, it is not sky blue as seen in the photo here. Amazon may have put up the wrong picture.
