Purchased this for our camper mattress and it is so comfortable. I let it open up for about 3 days before using, the mattress we have has plenty of support, we just needed more comfort and cushion. At home we have a Dreamcloud Premier mattress and this topper makes our camper bed feel the same. It is supportive, my back did not hurt after a week like it has in the past but it has that extra cushion that hugs you. the product its self is fantastic, it is durable, not a cheap mattress topper that completely caves im once you lay on it. i sleep on a futon that has a metal bar right in the middle, i got the 4 inch and i cannot even feel the futon underneath. i could sleep on this alone without a mattress and it would still work great. it works so well i was going to give it 5 starts despite the extremely strong alcohol scent coming from it. after a while you get used to it, but it is definitely still there. i took out the mattress topper, put it on and made my bed. 2 sheets and a thick comforter. i went to shower and when i entered my room the entire room stenched of this jack daniels smelling mattress topper my sheets reek of it and im nervous to sleep on it because i know im going to smell like it tomorrow. i hope this smell fades quickly, but please be aware this needs to air out or something before you use it. it is a VERY strong and not pleasant scent ... show more
