Out of the box it's a little flat, but it does fluff up. Size is a little off, side to side measures right but length was about 2 inches longer than king size bed. Hopefully it will shrink and that's why it comes a little oversized. The Sherpa is awesome! The adjustable corner straps are nice for having an extra pillow top mattress or even other mattress toppers. I love the elastic mattress straps that secure this , very easy to put on . Soft as a Sherpa for sure ! It also feels like it added a few inches of plush padding. The only thing I’m still confused about , is the soft fleece is under my fitted sheet . So I don’t actually feel the benefit of that. It does keep the bed feeling more plush and cozy . So maybe it’s a warm heat concept like the description Implies . It works very well in this aspect, but I don’t feel too hot either which is great for me ! ... show more

I used to use the foam top layer to sleep because my mattress was too firm, but I have never been satisfied with the foam layer because it caves me into the bed. I replaced the foam with this and I am having much better sleep! It provides a good balance of support and cushion! I have been looking for this kind of support for so long. I like how it fixes onto the bed with the straps, which was also lacking from the foam layer that just moves around everywhere.. I have a bed sheet that covers this topper so I can't feel the soft sherpa, but I like it because it provides warmth that I need throughout the night. I honestly don't think it will be a problem even using this during the summer if you have a sheet over it. I highly recommend! ... show more

We were using sleeping bags as under hammocks. They are, for the most part, good, but unruly after a while. We love sherpas and this looked perfect as a replacement. I was right. I hooked the elastic straps over each fork on the ends of the hammock stand. There was instant relief from the cold breeze. It's not meant for this and I don't anticipate the elastic lasting more than one week this way, so I'll be rethinking the strapping. But, the elastic is just as good as any sheet strap I've used. This will work well on a mattress. I have no qualms recommending this as a mattress topper. Bottom line: Would I order again? Yes. Would I gift? Yes. ... show more

I added this sherpa mattress topper to my guest room bed. It is very thick and soft and added so much to make this comfortable for my grandkids to come stay over. It was a perfect fit on my double mattress. It was well put together and the straps held it in place very well.
