On opening topper that there was no off gassing smell at all. The plastic it was wrapped in had a slightly odd odor which I immediately discarded into the trash. Within 24 hours mattress was fully expanded Just the right amount of supportive foam (2 in) & gel memory foam (2 in). Has alleviated my early morning hip & shoulder discomfort. They even include a special opener that protects the mattress as you cut open the plastic wrapping. I don't leave alot of reviews, but I felt this topper deserves an honest compliment. I received my Queen topper almost 3 hours ago, of course, I was excited to get it ready for my bed. It has almost completely filled out in just under 3 hours, so I placed it on my mattress. It does have a slight chemical odor, but I opened my bedroom window and am airing it out. I am very happy with the results so far... The size is slightly bigger than my mattress, I may need to trim thee edges, but I would much rather have more than less. At this point I would definitely suggest buying this topper...great price point and was delivered on time. ... show more

Like the topper a lot, thinking I should have gotten the 3 inch instead of the 4. I won't return it because it will be difficult to shrink back down to put in a box. Wanted it for hip and side pain.

Love this thing! For reference, I have an 11 year old Serta memory foam mattress that is still just as new and firm! So much so that I no longer like the firmness and purchased a feather bed/topper to soften it up- one with sewn in squares so the feathers don’t shift. It was still too firm. Settled on this 3 inch foam and it’s like sleeping on a cloud now! To specify- what you see in the picture (from bottom to top): mattress, foam, feather bed, mattress cover/protector and fitted sheet and I’ve never been happier sleeping! It sinks just enough that it feels like my bed is lightly hugging me. I’m more of a side sleeper nowadays and my shoulders and/or back would often hurt after getting up. The feather bed helped for a bit but there were mornings I woke up in a bit of pain. Have had this bad boy for a month now and haven’t woken up with any pains/stiffness or aches since. I tend to sleep hot and the gel from the foam does its magic and does not retain heat. It does not slide at all- yes, I have a mattress cover to keep everything in place, but this is also set up in a Murphy bed so the mattress is upright for most of the day. Please note- that I have a Queen bed but purchased a full size foam (note the size difference in 2nd pic). Oh, also note that it’s a “CertiPUR-US Certified Foam” which (I believe) is how other brands get away with offering lower priced ones - they don’t go through this extra process in getting certified or perhaps fail. I let it air out as instructed- no funky or chemical smells at all and it opened up nicely after 3 hours (it was difficult waiting and not setting it up that same night). This has been one of my favorite purchases on Amazon to date! ... show more

Ahhhh second best thing I did for my aching back. My ultra firm bed was delivered on a Thursday comfy but I needed the topper to complete it. Glad I did, So so satisfied Reminds me of sleeping in a very nice hotel bed 😴😴😴😴
