I bought this product to cover one of those couch/beds that fold into an ottoman. The metal frame of the furniture made it uncomfortable to lay down or sit on it when it was unfolded. I bought this foam topper as well as an additional mattress topper from this same company. Together, they turned the furniture into the perfect bed/couch. The combined thickness and firmness is wonderful. It is like we bought a brand new twin bed for the living room! The product arrived rolled in a rectangular box. It was an easy enough weight to lift and maneuver into the house, up a small flight of stairs. Opening the box and cutting the product out of the plastic it was in took some time and scissors. It was very thick plastic! It unrolled nicely and there was no overpowering smell or anything. It fluffed up immediately but we waited a few hours before using. ... show more

ok. welp. i never really do reviews anymore, this one deserved a 5 star review. First of all.....patience is needed when this arrives, you REALLY need to let it do its magic before making the bed and getting in. Its called memory foam for a reason. We got ours delivered 2 days before we had time to unwrap it and give it a good chance to work whatever magical thing memory foam does. we gave ours about 16 hours, Thankfully i was at work super early so we had all day and a good part of the evening....it actually states 48 hours but when you have no spare room the floor isnt an option.Anyway, we are more than pleased with this it deserves a ten star review, its firm but not so firm you feel like your sleeping on planks of wood. It really does stop all the pressure points in hips and backs. i wake up feeling extremely well rested, usually on my days off i stay in bed until noon time, i actually got up when i woke up. i have no more hip pain and my shoulder doesn't hurt or my back. My husband used to wake up during the night with hip pain and knee pain,not anymore he feels better and refreshed and happier in himself. i never have problems falling asleep anymore. I used to lie awake for hours, and the other memory foam pad was hot and some night i would feel like i was on fire. This matters pad is cool and actually does regulate your body temperature. I also bought a cooling mattress pad cover too though with is probably another reason why i feel cooler too, but to be honest, its the pain relieve we both get from this mattress pad. its a 100% improvement and i am not kidding. i cant praise this company enough. THANK YOU. your product is awesome. Also it feels like you get into a brand new bed every night too. The memory is awesome, its like someone comes in and replaces the mattress every time we leave the house and we get a new mattress every day. There is no sagging no soft spots no bouncing, its perfect. i do urge you to be patient and wait as long as you can before getting into your new bed though. if you have a spare room sleep in that until this does its job, we haven't regretted not leaving it for the full 48 hours because we haven't had problems with it at and its perfection. I got the 3 inch...one minus is that if you lay in the same spot it can get a little hot l...so the "cooling technology" they claim is bs. No smell whatsoever I give it 4.5 out of 5 ... show more
