Features

  • Professional Audiophile In-Ear Monitor: The Astral is Kiwi Ears professional-grade in-ear monitors designed to deliver a premium audio resolution and exceptional tonal balance. The Astral is intended for professional music engineers and discerning audiophiles who seek an engaging sound that does not compromise on accuracy nor precision.
  • 10mm Dynamic Driver Subwoofer: The Astral utilizes an in-house 10mm bioceramic diaphragm dynamic driver. Our custom diaphragm material provides excellent thump in the low sub-bass frequencies that smoothly transition into a lush bass. The bass has been tuned to accommodate the unique characteristics of this driver, and features a slightly smoother transition from the bass into the mids, with a rolling cutoff at 300Hz.
  • Two Dual Custom Midrange Balanced Armatures: The Astral utilizes in-house custom midrange balanced armature drivers to focus on a neutral midrange to make vocals and instruments sound tonally correct, with an accurate pinna compensation curvature at 2.8kHz to perfectly match the perceived hearing of the human ear. This makes for a faithful reproduction of the sound similar to studio monitors.
  • Dual Ultra-high Frequency Tweeter: We have customized the famed SWFK balanced armature tweeter to have a smoother ultra-frequency treble response. This modification allows uniform integration with our midrange driver, and extends the ultra-treble frequencies without any shrill or harshness. With better treble extension and greater drive efficiency than other driver types, our new tweeter redefines balanced armature performance.
  • Kiwi Ears Tonal Signature: Astral has a powerful 9dB sub-bass shelf that has a more rounded and smoother transition into the low-midrange, cutting off at 300Hz. This transition eliminates any disjointment between a typical bass shelf and the midrange. The treble follows the tonal signature of some of the worlds best renown stage IEMs, with a perfect 2.8kHz peak that slowly rolls off into the upper treble. We have extended this roll off to be slower and more uniform until 15kHz, which extends the upper frequency reach, while staying natural and comfortable to listen to.
  • 3D Printed Resin Cavity:The Astral IEM uses 3D Printed Resin as the shell material, this ensures a comfortable fit for those long recording or listening sessions but also showcases top-notch craftsmanship. The unique black gold-sprinkled texture on the faceplate blends seamlessly with the resin material, creating a look that's as sophisticated as it is stylish. Elevate your audio experience with our headphones, where every detail is designed for you.

  • Big but awesome
Color: Blue
These are not the most neutral but a bit U shaped you can see my measurements with EARS. The bass definition is what really defines these IEMs. Incredible articulation, linearity, speed and definition. They are revealing too. Mixes I thought were OK sound smeared compared to stuff that is truly good, for better or worse. No etching, rather relaxed and non-fatiguing despite having incredible micro-detail. The major issue is that they are MASSIVE. This causes a bit of comfort issues. Shells are high quality acrylic but damn they are big. Cable is awesome and they come with a little carrying case + nice tips. I use the same spin-fit for everything regardless. If you can deal with the size, these are a very good choice as the sound is proper high performance stuff. ... show more

  • Pleased.
Color: Blue
Excellent bang for buck. Not an audiophile but provides great detailed and non-etch satisfying sound on my go to test tracks. Up there with my Sen 600 and Fiio FH19. Ok, I’m over 60, I hear just fine, but objective test not yet done deteriorating hearing is caveat for my opinion. Matches well with Fiio 11S and hi rez files. Haven’t tried yet with Fiio 13 R2R but anticipate good things. Is break in a real thing? Not gonna argue, but these boys sound great out of the box. Just purchased but can anticipate this as my daily driver. Minimal plug number provided but the silicone works just fine. Agree the case too small for the phones and the ample quiet cable together, so a third party case a good solution and the provided case becomes a remaining gear repository in the drawer. Happy to recommend. ... show more

  • Amazing IEMs
Color: Blue
Amazing! These replaced all my other headphones. I used to mix/record on my ATH-m50x over-ear monitors, and then eventually got a pair of ATH-E50 IEMs since I prefer in-ears. As much as I love both pairs of headphones, these are just a different listening experience. The highs on the Astrals are more pronounced and are very detailed, but not excessively. The comfort on these is incredible and they are suprisingly light for how bulky they look. I mainly bought these for studio and live performance use, but these replaced even my Airpods for casual listening as well. I can't stress how incredible these are. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Worth the price
Color: Blue
Love these IEMs...they are my go-to pair now. I was using the Hidizs MP145s daily and still like them a lot, but the Astrals have a slight edge over the MP145s in terms of clarity, and bass extension. I'm not a bass head, but it is thrilling to hear the rumble of low pipe organ pedal notes when called for. Tonality is natural and frequencies are evenly distributed across the listening spectrum, so these require very little eq'ing to reproduce recordings faithfully. Like the MP145s the Astrals provide a 3D presentation of the sound with details coming through in recordings that I had not noticed before. My only minor gripes are that I wish you the R and L were marked more clearly so that I don't have to try to figure out which ear is which each time I pick them up, and the cable is fairly microphonic. Getting a replacement cable would probably fix both of these issues. Happily, these come with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm adaptors. For the size they are lightweight and stay in my ears easily. You can read countless reviews about these online, so I won't go on, only will echo the praise others have given and say that these are worth every penny. ... show more

  • Perfect IEM for me
Color: Blue
Bought these while looking for a more reliable Defiant. These IEMs have a fantastic U shaped signature with nice, tight bass, the mids I wanted, and treble that extends without becoming sibilant or piercing. I did not like the cable it came with and swapped it with an Openheart Blue cable and these are easily my favorite IEMs. One thing is that I didn't like the case, it was too small and kindof crushed the iems inside. I ended up using the larger Juzear case instead. ... show more

  • "Neutral" tuning with a fun twist
Color: Blue
Love the sound signature and technicality of these sets. The subbass slams and is balanced, the mids are clear and clinical, and the treble is airy and not too piercing. However, if you have small ear canals or small ears, you may struggle to get a snug fit with the stock eartips with the 6mm nozzle size, and they will fall out of your ears pretty easily. The stock eartips also make the vocals sound a bit thin, which I did not like. Got sancai regular eartips, and the fit immediately became better and made the Astrals sound fuller. The cable is decent, nothing special at this price point, 4.4 and 3.5mm both included is a nice touch. Would recommend it for pretty much all genres and gaming as well. Would give these a 4.5/5 if I could, but the eartips were a bit of an issue. ... show more
