I purchased this for a full bed in my college apartment where enhancing the crappy standard-issue mattress is the name of the game. I picked this one because it was a little padded and could go over a foam topper I had already bought. The mattress is about 6.5 in thick with the 3 in topper and this pad fits well and does not slide off while holding the topper in place nicely. I don't really notice the padded part but I suppose that's the toppers job not the pad. As is, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, appears to be made of good-quality, durable materials, and when it's on the bed you won't have to think about it at all because it gets the job done. This is a nice deep pocketed mattress pad that fits 18 inch deep mattress and a 3 inch foam topper without coming off which is why I purchased this. It adds a little bit of cushiony softness to the mattress but not really enough to make a difference in sleep. It's not like you're going to be enveloped in cloud like softness or squishy-ness.. so please don't buy it for that. It's mainly just a cover with a little bit of cushion on top. Needed a bed to sleep on during a visit with family. I was evaluating whether to buy from a local mattress store, an inflatable or this. Kept seeing reviews for inflatables having holes out of the box, and I knew I would not sleep well for 30 days on it. You make sacrifices, when someone needs you to care for them. I am really happy I chose this. I do not like the feel of a memory foam mattress. For me, the spring feel of a bed is my preference. I find it very comfortable.
