I got this foam for my first attempt at making a fursuit, and so far it seems to be working well for the purpose! It was easy to cut into shapes, and simple enough to put together with hot glue (and thread to smooth out connections). I still need to cover it in felt for the final design, but this was a great base to use! I will say that since I made the head, the foam has changed from white to a kind of pale yellow color, but I think that may just be a general thing that happens over time. I also used some of the leftover padding for my portable AC, since it needed a strip of padding to stay in the window, and that's been working wonders. I was originally worried about mold/bugs since it was in the window, but it's been there a few months now and seems good! Overall, I think this is pretty good and well worth the price ... show more

    • Excellent way to add height to the deck of a couch! Stays firm too
This is my second purchase, both are the high density option. One is 4" and the other is 2" I put it on the deck and then the original cushions on top of it. The 24" x 72" fit both my couches perfectly but you can cut this easily with a bread knife if needed. Extremely nice quality product--no smell, expands from the compression bag in less than a minute. Very firm but under the original cushions or by itself, very supportive and comfortable. If you have trouble getting up off older, lower couches, or couches with original cushions that are breaking down, I recommend this stuff highly. One thing to note: raising the deck will alter the relationship of deck to back of couch. You may find you need some small cushions to tuck behind your back for support, to make up for the back now being lower relative to the deck. ... show more

I purchased 5" thick, 24x72, Extra Firm, to replace two 23x25 20-yr old couch cushions. I wanted one long cushion, so I had to re-sew the old cushion covers to combine them into one. That was a piece of work – to reconfigure piping and zippers - but all looks great now! Back to foam - this foam is the bomb! I looked for a comparison of firmness, density, length, shipping, etc., nothing beats LinenSpa prices (unless you want at least double the price elsewhere). I emailed LinenSpa CS to find out that for their Extra Firm the IFD=40 and density=2.2; are perfect for my project. The foam arrived in a laughably small box, but as you follow their instructions you will see how that (I quote) “adorable sushi roll” unravels into a perfect foam mattress within minutes. I cut my piece to 23x72 with a regular bread knife; no issues of crumbling, tearing, and whatever else some reviewers were complaining about (just watch some YouTube videos, people!). For my project, I also purchased 1-in dacron, not from LinenSpa. To those who complain that ExtraFirm Foam was too firm – are you serious? - read the instructions and watch some YouTube on how to properly select the foam for your project and purchase top foam of lesser firmness and definitely dacron. I also loved that the foam was shipped wrapped in a very large thin non-woven material which came very handy – once I glued dacron to the cut foam, I sewed that non-woven as an inner slipcover for my cushion, what a bonus! I will be returning for more foam for sure – kitchen bar stools need a makeover… ... show more

I purchased this foam to make a cushion for our yard swing and it works great! The foam is only two inches thick, but it's very dense and I don't feel my bum touch the wood, I just feel cushy! This foam was easy to cut; I used a box cutter to cut through the first inch or so of the thickness, and then I used fabric scissors to finish the cut. This was the best price online that I could find for foam and I'm very pleased with my purchase! ... show more

When it arrived I thought I got a square sized foam and when I tried to flatten it I also thought I got eva foam but when I cut it open I was surprised with its rising and expanding. The size I got introduced with was a perfect amount that I needed. Although I'm waiting for it to expand the quality was very good when I took a small chunk of it and ran it through water to see it's actual thickness. It's very comfy and overall worth the discounted price I got it for. I'll be using it for cosplay and furniture accessories very soon and I'm exited. Ordered the 24" x 72" x 5". The foam is good quality. The measurements for length is good. The measurement for width is good. The measurement for height is not as specified. There is no consistency from one end of the foam to the other. Some areas measure five inches in height and other areas measure less than five inches. It varies thru out the length of foam. I allowed 5 days for foam to expand. I needed five inches in height because the casing I have is five inches. I would have ordered the six inches in height to allow for inconsistency if this was revealed on the website; such as foam varies between 4 - 5 inches or 5 - 6 inches in height. Vendor should correct this issue so there is no confusion about height. Update 4-20-22 Linenspa requested pics and billing receipt. These items were furnished via email. I received a response from vendor advising me to go back to Amazon and request an exchange or return. They did nothing after sending email requesting information. This is a very poor response from a vendor regarding their product. Why bother to request information if there is no intention of doing anything about the problem. Amazon has been great about the situation and did offer a solution. Thank you amazon. ... show more
