I ordered the queen 2 inch mattress topper after reading so many positive reviews from people who suffered from hip pain. Last night was the 1st night with the new topper. It was soooo incredibly comfortable! I didn't toss and turn last night. I didn't wake up with hip pain. It didn't take hours this morning for the aches and pains in my hip and lower back area to subside. For the 1st time in years, I was able to get up from bed, easily, without having to carefully stand upright and step carefully so as to be able to tolerate taking those first steps in the morning. I'm in my mid 40s, so not super young anymore, but I was waking up feeling sooo much older! Getting a good, new, really expensive mattress wasn't an option & after so long, I was really starting to think that the nightly & early morning pain in my hip and lower back area was age related. Turns out, it's not- I've just been sleeping on the wrong mattress! And even better, I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars to get a new one! Got the 2" mattress topper for my husband's twinXL mattress in his slepper semi cab. It's a brand new 2023 semi so that means the mattress is new too but when you sit on it you can feel every single metal coil spring under you!!! I couldn't decide between the 2" or the 3". We decided on the 2" since it was way cheaper & my husband would only need to sleep on it 2 nights every 7 days so it wasn't a permanent need. Also he weighs about 220 pounds & he would be the only weight on it at once. Well the 2" mattress topper has ended up being a miracle worker/life saver. The 2" is plenty thick enough & you don't feel the metal coil springs in the mattress anymore. As soon as my husband got to sleep on the mattress topper he said he finally slept good in the semi & didn't wake up hurting from the mattress. And he said the mattress doesn't make him hot when he's sleeping as long as he has the zippered cover on it that we bought to go with it. Our inquisitive 8 month old puppy destroyed our last topper but the silver lining is that this one is SUCH a HUGE improvement! It fits our King bed better (no small thing when it comes to fitted sheets and mattress covers staying in place), has no funky odor (the puppy may change that however), and hits that all important sweet spot between firm joint support and soft, cushioned comfort. It’s early on, but so far no sagging or sinking, which is crucial in the lower lumbar-sacrum area, providing impressive alignment support without creating overly firm hot spots in doing so. The result is, for me, the reason for any topper - to relieve (or for the more fortunate, to prevent) underlying joint pain without creating additional pressure point pain in the process. I haven’t noticed any special “cooling” properties but unfortunately I’ve never found that to be true despite similar claims of the many cool gel bedding products I’ve tried. But it doesn’t seem any warmer than the last two either so won’t complain. Now just have to keep our new baby from chewing this one up too 🤷🏼♀️ ... show more
