For the very best shoe shine you need the very best cloth. Material does matter. This produces a fantastic mirror shine using Safir products. I apply the products with an old white cotton t-shirt and then buff with this cloth until I can see the colorful paintings in back of me! Works every time.

The polishing cloths were good for their price. There was a minor issue with the microfiber pilling were the fabric came in contact with the nylon stitching on my leather goods. Other than the pilling the polishing cloths were good quality.

I don't want to embellish here......afterall, it is just a cloth, not a piece of tech. But as polishing cloths go, this is premium. Large size, heavy weight, and good feel. Works great on my shoes, boots, and even my leather tablet case. Just a spritz of water (from spray bottle) and a gentle buffing from this cloth is all it takes to achieve a nice luster; but I generally finish off with a polishing brush for good measure. ... show more

First... you should know that I have never spent more than $100 on a pair of shoes; and second... my previous shoe shine experience is limited to whatever free cloth I may have found in a hotel room. The Good: This cloth did indeed reduce the appearance of scuffs, add some shine, and generally make my shoes appear cleaner and newer. The Bad: This cloth balls up and sheds. You will get fuzz along the edges of the soles; and even more so along any exposed or outward facing seams. ... show more

Left fuzz on boots that I had to use a washcloth to clean off. Just use an old washcloth or cut up an old t shirt. Old school works.

I'm no expert in buffing cloth but this one is quite a bit nicer than the ones that I was replacing from a couple old shoe polishing kits. It is quite soft but with a tight weave so it holds up well with both cream and paste polish. If you're looking to upgrade from the stock cloth that came in your kit, this is probably what you want. ... show more
