I love this helmet! My last few helmets were uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time but I can wear this all day no problem. It's fairly lightweight and the adjustment features on this make it easy to fit onto anyone's head. I've also never had to change the batteries on this one as it has a solar panel on it. So as long as you keep welding it'll keep working. The screen on this is nice and big. Plus it's shade is a natural blue instead of a green, which helps you see better (I don't know the specific terms or science behind it but It is much easier to see out of).

GREAT Helmet.. i used Speedglas 9100 series for years and years. They are a bit lighter. But! The Lincoln Viking series lens blows speedglas out of the water with the 4C lens tech. Phenominal clarity and color and very comfortable and adjustable headgear to meet anyones needs.

I purchased this helmet to replace a HF Vulcan ArcSafe which I had used for 2+ years before it developed chronic arc flashes. I am a DIY’er and TIG weld as a hobby. I am also very highly concerned about personal eye protection and safety. I definitely wanted an upgrade over the Harbor Freight level helmets and I selected the Lincoln Electric 3350 helmet after researching and reading multiple reviews on comparably priced helmets. Although this is among the higher priced helmets, when it comes to maintaining and protecting your vision, it is still less than half the cost of a pair of prescription glasses with multi focal lens. Once adjusted for fit and after performing several test welds, I can attest that the 3350 is on a distinctly higher level of quality, comfort and performance than any entry level or sub $200 helmet you would chose to compare. During my research on alternative helmets I saw some claims being made on YouTube and elsewhere that the HF Vulcan ArcSafe is a rebranded and lower priced Lincoln Electric 3350. This is categorically untrue. I have now owned both and, while the HF fulfills a particular market niche, it is flimsy, Ill fitting, and reduced to a throwaway once the auto darkening lens stops working.

beginner hobby welder, started with a passive hood so dark i couldnt see well. the 3350 series is a game changer for me, and now that i can see with hood down i dont get messed up from the start and i can see around where im welding and my welds are straight with good penetration. the settings are easy with the knobs, no arc flashing and the color, clarity and FOV make learning the fundamentals easy. i highly recommend this hood for the beginners and above, well worth the money and its your eyes so dont skimp.

Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations. I have an old Antra helmet and the step up in clarity is minimal. Yes, things are blue and not green while welding, which may be helpful. I do notice that it isn't fooled by shop lights or sunlight as readily as my Antra helmet, which is nice, and the adjustability of the headgear is far superior. I'm not unhappy that I bought it, just a little disappointed not to be wowed.

Spent all my money to buy this hood and was left with 3 cents. It was my "go big or go broke" purchase and it was definitely worth. Beating this thing up with 10 hr shifts and it's holds up like a champ. Dropped it, flung it, cut it, wet it, and it keeps on kickin. I can see my welds clearly and that's all you really need in a hood lens. Might be a little heavy if you got a pencil neck. Headgear works fine for me but you can always buy another brand and switch it up. Grinder button on the side is nice for a quick buff or cut but I usually just safety squint or get a grind mask for bigger jobs. Matte black is more expensive for some reason, might be able to find cheaper elsewhere. If you don't care about the design it gets cheaper. I'll buy another 3350 but it's just to change up designs cause the one I have isn't dying anytime soon.

Right out of the box, you can tell you got your money's worth. The controls are easy to use, it's virtually dummy proof. I really like the indicator light for grind mode, I can't tell you how many times I've started a weld on grind mode and flashed myself with my old helmet. The large external grind mode button is awesome for gloved hands, and you never have to take the helmet off. This helmet also has a "test" function to make sure your hood is good to go in terms of shade. The head gear is the most comfortable that I've worn, it's adjustable in every which way. This helmet is also compatible with hard hats. This also comes with a durable storage bag that has a HUGE zippered pocket on the outside for anything you might need with it. Lincoln also throws in 5 replacement external clear lens covers, and 2 clear internal covers. Awesome value for your money.
