This is a very well engineered product which is apparent right away with the detailed and simple to follow assembly instructions. In fact you would have to try very hard to mess up! I was able to assemble it on my own, although some steps would have been easier with a person to help. Tips: If you use a drill or screw gun, make sure it is variable speed and drive the screws in very slowly. Stop before they are fully home, and finish up with a hand screwdriver. This will prevent them going in too far and causing damage. Also, the small holes that are pre-drilled for the drawer rails, work better if you open the holes a little first by screwing the small screw part-way in first then removing it, before placing the rail. Otherwise you tend to drive the screws in at an angle, which results in the screw head protruding a little and snagging the drawer movement My only complaint would be that there was a bag of parts missing - hence dropping one star. The missing parts were Item 'F' on the list - small, round pieces of laminate to cover the screws on the outside. Not worth the hassle of returning the desk & did not impede assembly , but it would look nicer with them I purchased this for my church's Worship team to get ready backstage and I intend to purchase this again shortly . ... show more

First I want to talk about how easy the instructions where to read! I wouldn’t say I’m the handiest of ladies and have finagled whatever man I’m with at the time into putting things together for me but, the instructions were very clear and easy to read. At almost 8 months pregnant and currently built like a tonka truck I was able to easily put this together sitting down. It’s easy to move around not to light to feel cheap and flimsy but not too heavy to require help. The mirror was packaged perfectly and the lighting options are pretty too… I like that the plug in on the side comes with usb options for my magnified mirror and the storage in the stool which is surprisingly sturdy! The only thing I’d change it’s the knobs but that’s a super easy fix… overall I’m very happy with it and excited to put it to use. ... show more

Overall I think the item looks great. The lighting is amazing and I love the storage options. The instructions are VERY easy to follow and I love that it comes with a small Phillips screwdriver. A few things to note: It took a little over 2 hours to put this together. That does not include the unboxing process. There are so many pieces. You may want to use a drill…there are lots of screws…I gave up on the screwdriver. It would have taken me longer if I did not use one. In the 1st two images, you can see that the wood is slightly cracked near the mirror on both sides. Everything was unboxed except the mirror (it’s packed securely in a separate box within the box). I noticed the crack after assembling the 1st piece because the mirror is the 2nd major piece to assemble. Although I saw the cracks, there was no way I was going to get everything back in the box to return it. The cracks do not go all the way through, it’s very superficial. Because of this defect, I took off 1 star. Overall, my daughter loves it, imperfections and all. ... show more

I really wanted to keep the item, but could not get a mirror replacement negotiated. I reached out to the manufacturer as directed by the website and received no feedback, no response, etc. Returning this item is extremely difficult because of all of the parts after unpacking. I’m very displeased that I couldn’t get the mirror replaced and keep the rest of the parts. I really wanted and needed this item and would’ve waited for the mirror replacement. ... show more
