    • Beautiful cabinet, worth the $$!
Wow! This is a beautiful cabinet. The size is substantial but it works perfectly where I purchased it to go. Went together fairly easily, but the locking screws were a bit of a pain (literally) because the groove in the head to screw them in with was so shallow. The screwdriver kept slipping out. I finally got a system going after getting minor cuts on my fingers from the slippage of the screwdriver. I also used a shorter screwdriver to make it a little easier. The directions are fine, mostly. Everything is in pictures and they’re not always clear, but a LOT better than ones that are translated poorly from another language. I put a back panel in upside down, not realizing which way to actually slide it in, until after it was too late to correct it. With the shelves in, you can’t even see the mistake and it doesn’t affect the integrity of the piece. My husband helped stand it up when it was ready for that, but I easily managed the construction, except a few minor finger cuts. It comes with a flathead screwdriver but it needed a Phillips as well. No big deal really. Adjusting the doors on these things can also be a bit of a challenge but all in all, I got the job done. I would highly recommend this item. It was well worth the price. This is a heavy box! I had to unpack it and move it by pieces to the spot where I intended to build it. Once unpacked, I thoroughly checked each piece against the parts list and was pleasantly surprised to discover that all the parts and accessories were labeled. The step by step instructions were easy to follow. I only found a couple of steps somewhat confusing and I think fatigue played a role. It took just over four hours for me to build this piece alone. The hardest step was putting the doors on with many many tiny little screws. I really liked that there were adjustment screws that moved the doors left or right to decrease the gap between them. The one issue I had was the finish coming off as I tried to start some of the screws. The predrilled holes are so small it’s hard to get the screw started and it would sometimes slip off and take some of the finish with it. Not a huge deal since those spots are mostly covered. For the love of everything good please use an electric screwdriver to save your wrist joints. The provided screwdriver was helpful but my trusty electric number probably saved me an additional hour or so of labor. This cabinet is big and deep and does the job that I needed it for.
