A wire in the controller for my fathers Catnapper lift chair broke and was not fixable, it was a couple of years old. I went to the store we bought the chair at and it was not covered by warranty. They wanted almost 3 times the price of this controller for an original replacement. This consists of two buttons and a wire, didn't seem to be worth spending $170.00. I went home and went on Amazon and found a number of less pricey replacements. They even had an original equipment controller for much less than what the store wanted.     • Recliner was stuck at max recline.
The chair had been reclined to its maximum then quit working. I tried everything but could not figure out what was wrong. I had power to the chair but not to the remote but there’s not a fuse or anything like that. I couldn’t understand why reclining it to the maximum would cause the remote to fail. I happened to read a review that stated they’d had the same problem and this fixed it. I bought it and was back in action 15 minutes after it arrived. When my chair remote cord frayed, and then stopped working, I was pleased to find this one. I was able to install it easily myself. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 id=s that the controls seems to work upside down from what came with the chair originally - now I have to press the down button to get up, and vice versa (my original was up to get up). After two days THIS UNIT FAILED WHILE ASSISTING MY ELDERLY MOM OFF THE CHAIR AT 3:00 AM. This is the second unit of a similar style (white body with blue glowing controls) that failed. I would advise any consumer not to purchase these devices and I would advise Amazon to suspend these items and investigate the manufacturing of them. ... show more

Led light didn’t work and control buttons were wrong direction, raise was recline and recline was raise . I returned the controller.

Unfortunately the buttons did not light up or glow blue around the edges like they were supposed to. I wrote to the seller and they completely ignored my concerns, which is not a good thing. I really could have used the edge lighted buttons and it clearly stated that they were supposed to light, yet they don't. ... show more

This is a perfect fit and works great. Very easy to plug in . It was hooked up in 1 minute after getting out if box. Just tip chair over and plug in where old one was. Voila it works !

    • Disappointed
The lights on the remote doesn't work. The directional buttons are backwards. The up button is really the down button. But does function. I am disappointment that the light and button do not work properly.
