  • Fantastic assembly
I got the 8x10 shed. After researching I decided to pay a bit more for the lifetime brand. Wood rots, and metal is apparently difficult to assemble. After ordering I got to work on the base, which was the most difficult part. It’s very important to have a level base for this shed, so I did the best I could. I didn’t realize the instructions said wood or concrete base, and I started preparing a gravel pad. To my surprise the shed showed up almost 2 weeks early. Two 200 pound 8 foot boxes dropped in my driveway by a semi truck. By the time I finished the base, and with the price of lumber, I decided this puppy is getting thrown on rocks and it’ll have to do. Finished the pad, and today I put the shed up alone. (I had a hand from a pleasantly intoxicated neighbor for about an hour and things definitely went smoother with 2 people.) I haven’t completely finished yet, but it all went together very easily. It’s important to use a drill with a very light clutch. I got this thing assembled alone in 8 hours, aside from the door handles and the roof cap / window thing which should be easy tomorrow (I hear a heat gun helps.) anyways… I followed the paper instructions until I saw a QR code and decided to check it out. Took me to video instructions, step by step. This video made me glad I paid for the brand name, it’s absolutely fantastic. Went together exactly as it should, no blood, sweat, or tears required! I was also pleasantly surprised to see “made in USA” stamped throughout the pieces. I’m excited to move some things around and get my garage back. If you’re on the fence, I vouch for the lifetime brand. ... show more

  • One person can assemble it fine.
Once you get the subassemblies made, it goes together pretty quickly. A couple of gotchas. Leave plenty of room on the sides till the walls are in place. You can slide the shed against things later without too much difficulty. Make sure the roof panels lie flat till you are ready to install them. Mine warped a bit in the 90F sun, which made it harder to get them into place in cooler weather later. The skylights are best installed warm or if it's cool out, warm them with a hair dryer or better yet, a crafting heat gun to get them bent to shape before installing. This trick alone will save you lots of time and frustration. I wasted most of an evening trying to install the second skylight cold. After warming them up and bending them to shape, I got the remaining 3 installed in minutes. ... show more

  • Hard to build
Honestly it's very nice - the roof for us has been the hardest part - it takes longer than the time it says to put it together as we are still not done and it's been a few days of working on it. Just be aware it's a task to build this but overall pretty happy with the product.

  • Easy to put together
By using the instructions along with the video from YouTube, I found it easy to put together. You definitely need someone to help you when it comes time to install the roof panels. After the first rain it had no leaks. We are very happy with it so far.

  • Got my garage back.
Love it. Got my garage back. The hooks are meh but work. The shelf is great gotta buy more. A lot of sunlight through the skylights so not to dark. Will run some electric to it one day. Very happy.

  • Very well designed and clear, concise directions
This was so well- engineered and thought out! Make sure your foundation is very level. My suggestions: Read ALL the directions until the entire process is clear and makes sense, keep the cardboard handy to spread the big stuff out on a non- dusty surface, know there are 2 "small parts" boxes- one in each big box and well hidden under big panels!, and take it carefully, one step at a time. When it came to putting the walls up, I assumed they were starting with just a random corner, but it's one side of the door: Your starting corner may be a rotated version of theirs, but keep that in mind. Also, we put up the skylight sheets and connectors from the inside as we built the roof: MUCH easier than a long stretch after the roof panels are all up. We had no problem with 2 adults doing the job ( 1 gal, 1 guy), and 1 person can get a substantial amount done ahead of time ( trusses and the 2 doors and reading it to the point of total comprehension) to speed up putting it together, which is great for an early morning start to avoid any wind. Have your anchors purchased and ready, too, to get at least 4 corners tied down as soon as the building is constructed so you can sleep easy, then add more the next day. I bolted through an inner and outer 4" piece of 1x4 to cable anchors, using fender ( big) washers to securely hold the cables on the outside, and stained the wood to discreetly match the building. Also, the company packed the whole thing beautifullly without plastic except for the tiny hardware bags. Wonderful bonus: The doorway is tall enough that you don't have to duck! :) ... show more

  • Difficult
Parts are not labeled. It took 4 men with experience to put together. Have to build a foundation for it.

  • Great but, but doesn't seal at the doors
Great shed, but the doors don't shut well. There is a gap, allowing the elements in. Also the instructions for the window are very vague. I figured it out about 4 weeks later, after always finding it on the floor of the shed.
