It's a nice heavy extension cord. That's the job and it does that job well. I tested that by checking voltage drop with a space heater load on the circuit. The cord performed well for being 100ft long. Not sure what guage of cord you need? Find a voltage drop calculator app and plug in your numbers. Amps x volts=Watts Do the math. Get the right cord for your needs. A 1500 watt heater at 125 volts uses 12 amps, for example. That's a good place to start with a calculator, 12-20 amps. This is the second cord like this that I have ordered. I work in the electrical industry and I put extension cords to the test. I actually ordered the 50 foot 10/3 for my camper shoreline at home. With one 15,000K AC unit & the power converter operating, there is a very low amperage drop on the AC startup.
