I wish Lifeproof wasn’t done away with after Otterbox bought the company. All the Lifeproof Lifeactiv belt clips, car mounts and this bike mount work flawlessly and I never worry about my cell phone releasing on its own.

I have a job where I need to see texts & calls coming in while riding, & evaluate whether they merit stopping & responding. I had good experiences with the previous generations of LifeProof mounts with previous Iphones. They had beefy integrated protective cases enclosing the phone. When LifeProof came out with this new system for the Iphone 6 which involves gluing a tiny square to a separate case, it seemed like too much of a leap of faith. I tried a cheaper product with an integrated case, & had my Iphone ejected into a canyon on the first technical downhill. After a fruitless 3 mile walk back up the hill, I was resigned to trying the new system. I was skeptical that this relative skimpy-appearing product would hold a phone on anything more technical than a parking lot. I was completely wrong- it works. After no disasters on fire roads, I rode increasingly technical trails fully expecting catastrophic failure & another lost or damaged expensive phone. I waited awhile to submit a review, sure that it would fail on the next ride. (Dread Pirate Robert's approach: "OK you survived today, but you'll surely die tomorrow") After 2 years of hammering it on boulder-strewn jackhammer singletrack with limited air (I'm too old to get too far from the planet on a bike), I trust it. Bluetooth is recommended if the rider is at risk of ejection. I'm sorry to say the LifeProof case did not turn out to be waterproof (scratch another phone), & I now use an Otter Box product.

Great bike mount system for whatever device you have that will accommodate the mounting square. I have an iPhone 7 running an Otterbox case. The adhesive square, which is included, secures very well and has yet to show any sign of weakening. The square attaches to the mount via magnets and locks into place with a latch. The mount seems great and my phone has never come loose. The mount that attaches to your handlebars in very user friendly and has a ratcheted latch system for easy on and off. It makes it easy to swap between bikes if you have multiple bike options. The only complain I have is the mount has a little bit of play when fully secured and that creates a rattle that drives me nuts. I mainly use this on a road bike and I enjoy a quiet ride so the rattle is a bit annoying. I have tried several things to try and alleviate the rattle to no avail. I will have to live with it. I would recommend this mount if you want to have your phone more readily available on your rides.

Great kit! Purchased to be able to mount my phone in my canoe. I had to cut down the rubber spacers since my application was bigger than a typical bike handle bar, but I'm happy with it.

I was skeptical at first because of all the generally negative reviews about this mount. People say it rattles around a lot while riding and they are worried that it might fall off their bike. All I can say is that it hasn't happened to me yet. I have the mount stuck to the back of my Lifeproof'd iPhone 6 plus which is basically like riding around with an iPad on your handle bar! It seems to be working just fine. After you lock your device into the mount it holds it pretty good, there is a little slop but it's nothing major. I ride 12-15 miles per day on paved bike trails, off road single track stuff, gravel roads etc... Point being I ride without a worry that my phone is going to fall off. Follow the instructions about applying the adhesive and it will work like it's supposed to. The mount itself hasn't moved from its original mounting position after about 140 miles of use. I gave it 4 stars just because it is a little sloppy after its locked into place but like I said before it's not enough for me to be concerned. Overall I am pretty happy with my purchase and I would recommend this mounting system to a friend.

Bought this for my 350 mile gravel ride and it worked perfect. I usually use my Garmin or wahoo, but bought this because I wanted my phone accessible for home emergencies. I went over tons of crap and this held on for the entire ride, and it was so convenient to have the phone right there for pictures and stuff. I know I will get grief from the group for using my phone as my Garmin, but this puts it right on the stem and my phone has everything - with way better maps. Simple to use

I'm giving this 5 stars bcs it's a great product, but I stopped using mine bcs it killed the wireless charging ability on my S7. The puck that sticks on the back has metal in it, and won't allow the wireless charging to work. Also, there's no way to position it on the bike handlebars so that I can film traffic while I'm riding, it doesn't swivel very far at all. Still, I suspected both of these things would be a problem before I bought it, so it's not really a fault with the product, just doesn't work for what I need. I ended up giving it to a friend who absolutely loves it. I replaced this with "SP Gadgets Phone Mount" which works perfectly for my uses and allows me to position the phone where I can film traffic.
