Like the weight adjustment that makes me trust the safety. Well made and well finished. Smooth surface on weights. Holding trays are stout enough. Would like rubber coated weights for home use. Liked flat weight bottoms to prevent rolling when used for pushups. Like weight ends that facilitate holding single dumbell at the ends for pullovers, etc.. Edit: 1 week of use-dumbell ends are plastic with a metal end cap. 1 of the end caps is dented, I suspect from the dumbells coming together in a press. ... show more

These fit right in the middle - not cheap, but short of first-class. First couple weeks and glad we bought, no negatives. Definitely no 'oily residue' as noted by others - grips are good.
