We live in SW Florida and the house is roughly 2k sq.ft. and our room is at the end of the HVAC line. On top of that, someone thought it was a good idea for the en suite to NOT have a door. The primary suite was constantly 10-20 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. After 2-3 weeks of searching, reading a TON of reviews - I finally settled upon this unit. It showed up late by a 2 days BUT we were kept in the loop about the delay so I'm OK w/that. Set up was rather simple...the most difficult was adjusting the window insert for the exhaust hose. That was resolved w/the purchase of a saw from the local hardware store and about 7 minutes of my muscle to lop of the part I didn't need - super tiny window in the bedroom; width wise. Attached the drain hose and ran it into a cup that has yet to take on any water. Not sure what others were complaining about water draining and such. We've had NO issues at all in that area. The remote! How I LOVE the remote. Don't have to get up to change the fan level, raise/lower the temp, just click the little buttons YAH! Once all set up - turned it on and WOWZER! The air was super cold and came out fast and hard. It took about 30 minutes to cool the room off - it was super hot that day. Within the hour I had to turn the fan down to low and raise the temp bcuz I was FREEZING! Something I thought I'd NEVER say in that room. We are currently dealing with daily "excessive heat" warnings regarding the weather on a daily basis (last 2-3 weeks actually) and I can say I'd have lost my mind by now if it weren't for this unit. Some say it can be loud. Really? If you are THAT hot, the unit cools you off and keeps it cool - is the loudness REALLY that big an issue? I may have to turn my TV up 3-4 more clicks but it is definitely NOT so loud I'd actually complain or return the unit. You are using a compressor to cool an area - NOTHING is going to be silent doing said job. I just used the SLEEP feature but stayed awake for a while. It does lower the sound of the compressor some and it does cycle on/off a little more. The room stays cool and comfortable. Basically - overall, this is the BEST purchase I've made in a very long time. And I buy a LOT of stuff online. This one has made the BIGGEST difference in my daily life and has made me a MUCH happier person; which has also made my husband very happy. I HIGHLY recommend this unit. Oh, and I have had a chance to deal w/the customer service. All done via email and the response time is very good, much better than expected. Noise level isn't an issue for me since a majority of the time I sleep with headphones anyway. But I like a little noise regardless. It functions perfectly, there were some days in the hundred degree heat it took a little longer to cool my room, but it did eventually. Easy to set up, wish I bought it years ago honestly. I purchased this product to cool my pottery studio so I can woork comfortably in the summer. I had to cut a hole in the wall for the exhaust because the onlywindow was not suitable for the adaptor. It cools quickly and is reasonably quiet. It is a good buy for the money.

My wife and I had new windows installed and our old window ac wouldn’t fit anymore. So we wanted an ac that was convenient and no hassle. This met our needs. It is quieter than our other window air conditioners. We love the timer, other features and it cools the room quickly. It works well for about half the square footage advertised—which is all we need. It definitely cools the area in front of the unit, although if you walk past it there is no cooling. Would like it to cool a little better, but it’s adequate and worth the money.
