I used these pants to hike in 100+ degree (F) weather on a summer tour of a few national parks. I found them comfortable, breathable, and they did indeed dry quickly when I ended up wading through a river. The zipper pockets were a huge plus to make sure I didn't lose small items, and while I saw many sunburned and crispy individuals, I emerged from my long days in the sun and heat completely unscathed. I am about 5'6" and about 160 lbs (with large hips). The large fit perfectly.

PE teacher here and I absolutely love these joggers. I own 3 pairs and have worn and washed them all since school started. I love and sweat all day, but stay cool in these. The pockets are useful and still look amazing after washing. My don’t wrinkle like another reviewer said. They are soft and very thin, but not see-through. I’m 5’4” and they are a little too long, but I like that they don’t ride up on my ankles when I crouch to tie students’ shoes or pick up gym equipment. I weigh 185 for reference.

I read about these in an article about travel and I decided to give them a try. Normally, I wear 511s because they have all kinds of pockets so I don't have to carry a purse. But 511s are not quick to dry so they are a little difficult to wash when traveling. These slacks looked like they would have all the good pockets of 511s but be quicker and easier to wash and dry when traveling. I also liked the cuffed ankles because they make it a lot easier to tuck my slacks into boots and I wear boots a lot. Overall, these slacks fit well and are very comfortable. They are also made out of a quick dry fabric so they are super easy to wash by hand and then dry overnight. But... The pockets. Sigh. Yes, they have a lot of pockets. But they are not good pockets. With my 511s, I tuck soft things into the normal pockets so they don't dig into me when I sit, and then I use the pockets on the thighs for my wallet and cell phone. Perfect. While these slacks have similar pockets, they are placed super awkwardly. If I put my wallet or cell phone in the pockets on the thighs, the pockets are so deep that my wallet and cell phone are slamming into my knees each time I take a step. And if I put the phone or wallet in the top zipper pockets, I can't sit down without them digging into me. My only solution was to sew a seam in the thigh pockets about an 1.5" up from the bottom, thereby creating a new pocket bottom. The pockets are still deep enough for my cell phone in one and the wallet in the other, but they don't beat me up and slam into my knee with each step. My cell phone does come up to the top of the pocket, but it does fit and actually, it can fit in sideways which means it isn't right up at the top of the pocket anyway. Then I just use the zipper pockets for things like a handkerchief or other soft objects that aren't going to dig into me. Honestly, I had great hopes that I could replace my 511s with these slacks, but...no. These slacks are a little more comfortable as they move well and aren't as stiff, but when there are heavy things like wallets or cell phones in the pockets, they can beat me up unless I modify the pockets and that's just kind of annoying. I looked at the construction of the pockets on the 511s and they are made higher up on the thigh to avoid objects slamming the knee with each step. It does mean that more care has to be taken when constructing the slacks because the thigh pockets do overlap the regular pockets on the 511s so they can't just be willy-nilly sewn on the way they are on these slacks to keep both sets of pockets free. I'm sure that that extra work (i.e. avoiding that extra work) is why these slacks have the pockets placed the way they are as the sewing and construction is more straightforward with less chance of the thigh pocket sewing overlapping the construction of the upper pocket (you can tell that I've actually sewn my own clothing before...) so this is really just laziness by the manufacturer. In the end, I'll wear these slacks because I've modified them to make them work (more-or-less) for me by sewing new bottoms on the thigh pockets, but I shouldn't have had to do that and I won't be buying any more of these. If you are buying these because of the pockets and the desire to stop carrying a purse, you may want to reconsider that unless you are very long-legged. Or else you may need to consider sewing new bottoms on the thigh pockets like I had to do. Or maybe it's just that I'm the only one who has the issue of the cell phone battering my knee with every step if it's in the unmodified thigh pocket.

I truly love these pants! True top size and are the most comfortable pants to wear. There have plenty of pockets so I don’t always need to carry my purse. Only wish all the pocket trim is grey no matter what color the pants are. It would be nice if they were the same color.

These were actually very cute and fit well. I’m 5’6” around 145 and the mediums fit perfectly. The only drawback is that they are VERY thin fabric so the lighter gray color I ordered is pretty transparent. But I am going to order them in a darker color and see if I like those better. *update* I ordered same size in black and love them. With the darker color they aren’t as transparent. Still thin but doesn’t show the imperfections beneath!

I expected these to be ankle-length, but they are mid-calf length, and I am only 5'2". I ordered the Small. I would order the Medium, but then I think they will be too baggy. I wish they were longer. Other than that, the fabric seems pretty soft. The stitching is 'cheap', so I'm not sure how long these will last, but the price is right.

Bought these last minute before going on hiking trip in the woods/rainforest. So comfortable, with pockets--used them all! Sprayed them down with the bug spray beforehand and it worked. Bought another pair after seeing how great. (Used sizing recommendations, slightly size up L for size 10).
