I installed these new fans as soon as I got them, and so far so good. They look phenomenal and work perfectly with my build. I'm currently having no issues with them and the LCD screens look perfect. Despite them working perfectly, there are some things that you should know. First, the controller requires a PCIe connection so make sure you have an extra one. This is the same one that most graphics cards use. Thankfully my PSU had some spare connections for me to use, so I was fine. Second, the website states that it requires a direct connection to a usb header on your motherboard. Make sure you have one of those as well. You can technically use a splitter for this but it most likely needs to be powered to be able to function correctly. I have not tested this out myself but may do so in the future. Third, I've watched some previews of these fans from some tech youtubers and as they recommended, tested out the fans before installing them, because the fans need to be updated with the L-Connect 3 software that's required for them. When you do the update, sometimes one of the fans, will show a black screen. A restart of the software or even restarting your computer won't fix it. What you need to do is turn off your PC, and just switch the fans around in the link configuration. That's exactly what happened to my middle fan, the LCD just turned off but everything else was functioning perfectly. Switched the middle fan to one of the outside ones, relinked them, and turned on my PC and all the LCD screens were working perfectly. After that, I installed them and finished the setup. Besides those three little things, the fans function perfectly, the L-Connect 3 software for them is easy to use and you can easily change the content of the LCDs to static pictures, gifs, mp4 or other custom animations that they currently have. I'm sure they're going add more animations later but you can easily add your own. Make sure you get the right version though for your airflow needs. I bought the reverse ones because I needed them as intake fans and wanted the LCDs to face the correct orientation. Hope this helps. ... show more

I purchased an open box unit, and was initially unable to get the software to work in order to upload a custom image/video/GIF to the screens. I determined that this was due to a fault in a single one of the fans (the one I had plugged into the cable), as the other two fan screens worked fine once that fan was removed. I contacted customer service about this issue along with pictures of the non-functional fan, and they immediately sent me a single replacement fan that arrived within 2 days, and did not even make me go through the trouble of returning the single defective fan. I have had zero issue in the past few months since. Only needing a single wire for power, fan control, addressable RGB LED control, and LCD video data for 3 separate fans make this so easy to install, since this would require a minimum of 12 wires if I had used another brand. I used these to replace the fans on a 360mm AiO radiator, and they are efficient enough that I never have to ramp them up to full speed to maintain adequate temps. With only a single wire it took just a few minutes to install, and I only had to manage/hide one cable, so the setup is very clean. The L-connect software used to control the fans/LEDs/LCDs is a bit cheap looking, and does some weird things sometimes (I.e., last time I opened the program, it wouldn't allow me to upload new .mp4 files, but if I converted the file to a .GIF, it would work fine), but once you have things set up there is no need to touch it (unless you want to change anything.) The fans each have an EEPROM for the LCD screen, so when powered on they automatically display whatever they were set to the last time before being powered off. You don't have to constantly run the fan software or open it every time you start your PC to get the screens to display whatever you want. Mentioning this since I did not see anything stating this explicitly before I bought it, and was concerned it wouldn't retain the settings.
