  • Well worth the price.
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
Wanted to pull the trigger on this for a couple weeks after building my first PC, But wasn't too sure of the price on this let alone the overpriced 24 pin which is 90 bucks compared to 40 for the 8 pin. A little over board for some cable extenders but I mean I guess RGB does add 100 fps to any build lol. I decided to grab it and it's definitely worth it and adds a new level of aesthetics to your rig that fans and ram can't do alone. Lot's of customization options depending on which software you're using to control the lights. I have the dreadful gigabyte fusion and unfortunately none of the presets stream the light up each individual cable like I've seen on a lot of videos. Mine sends it all up in a row instead. But I mean there's plenty of other options besides that one. And of course there's other software that has other options as well. On another note it's pretty long and you'll for sure have to get it to fit into the case to be able to close the side panel unless of course you have an open basement. I have a h510 elite which has a little cut out for the PCIE cables to the basement and it wouldn't fit. So I had to stretch it across my motherboard pretty much and hide it behind the mini monitor I have underneath my GPU. Honestly makes me wonder why it is the length it is when you're not even gonna see most of it. Other than that it works as intended with no hiccups, looks great, and I would for sure recommend. ... show more

  • This may not fit your mini itx case!
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
I absolutely love this product. It adds a significant amount of customization to my pc which was important to me when building. A disclaimer that the wire is flexible but not as flexible as you might expect. I have a mid tower case and it fits without issue but I can imagine I might not be able to get the desired fit in a mini itx case because of this. The control box is not too big and works like a manual controller so this lives in the back of my case. I set my desired RGB and haven't touched it since. Something to think about if you are tight on space. ... show more

  • Lights Camera Action!
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
This GPU power connector adds the LED RGB flair to your computer build, is it frivolous? Yup! but when you want to light up your build like NYC Times Square, this is the ticket. The wiring is stiff, so it works best with straight connections, no twisting. To make your install easier, make sure you get the Lian-Li RGB HUB. This makes the install much easier. This video add on cable did not come with this, so I needed to make an extra purchase, so knocked off a star. Also confirm your MOBO has a free RGB connection. Install will take three connections to the Lian-Li HUB; one free SATA power, Strimmer to HUB, and finally Strimmer to RGB MOBO. There are a number of configurations of lighting modes available. My final build is connected to a 3070ti GPU with a MSI X470 Gaming MOBO. The Griswalds will be jealous! Happy with my purchase ... show more

  • The extra RGB effect to set your PC apart from others
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
The media could not be loaded. If you want the extra pop factor to set your build apart get these and you'll be satisfied. Most people that see them never seen em before and always ask what they are. Just expect some headaches getting them to work properly at first. They have some issues connecting and even mine even looked like a strip's LED was faulty and didn't work at first. Usually 9 times out of 10 it's the control box or the software but with patience I got it working finally and I really like the effects. You can do a lot of different effects with these just with their control box and I haven't got into syncing software for the good effects yet. As for a negative? I wouldn't say you are getting value because it's an extender and clear optional piece just for aesthetic purposes. But if you want that look and can spend the money they do look really nice in conjuction with other unicorn rainbow vomit parts. 🦄 🌈 ... show more

  • Addressable RGB Goodness
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
There's not much to say about the product. If you're even looking at this, chances are you know what kind of person you are. You like pretty lights and things that have pretty lights. And if you're like me and really like pretty lights, then you want everything to have them. A couple people mentioned it came with the connections on backwards, but the product comes with instructions on how to flip it. Mine was set up fine out of the box. Works with the Founders Edition 30 series cards, though for some of the other variants of the 30 series, you may need the triple 8 pin version that Lian Li put out. Keep in mind if your motherboard is like mine, you will need to connect it to the controller (which comes with the 24 pin motherboard strimer) and hold the M1 button for a few seconds to let your motherboard sync with it. All in all, I'm a big fan. ... show more

  • A little pricey, but finishes off an amazing build!
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
The media could not be loaded. When I saw these in pc’s on YouTube, I just had to have them. They’re pretty simple to install, but they’re use is a bit of a hunt as the little manual is almost useless. They look spectacular. I had them hooked up to the argb header in my motherboard, but I didn’t want to keep taking the case off to change their pattern and color, so I found some cables on Amazon that let me hook them to my Corsair controller and blam! I can now sync them with all my fans and AIO. ... show more

  • One Year Review
Style: STRIMER PLUS V2
The majority of reviews on here are from people who just got them and installed them. That’s fine and great, these are nice when you first get them. They’re bright, vivid, and accurate in color. Well, this is the second time I’ve ran into the absolute garbage quality LEDs Lian Li seems to source. I HAD nearly $200 in Lian Li magnetic fans and they had the same issue these now do. The LEDs change color over time, sections go dimmer than other sections, and some just straight up display the wrong colors. This is especially apparent on white. It literally turns yellow and dim in less than a year. If you thought Lian Li is a quality brand that’s offers premium products at a premium price, you’re wrong. They offer the same quality products as the cheap crap. In fact my cheapo ID-COOLING fans have lasted me longer and for 1/4 of the price. ... show more
