First time using this type of wood burner and it was a good choice for first time user of this type of wood burner. It takes no time at all to heat up and kinda fast on cooling down. Set up was easy, and there are so many choices of tips. The sample pieces of wood are nice to be able to play around with on using the tips. Make sure when you unscrew the screws to pull the tips out that you do not lose the screws but the screwdriver is magnetized so it makes it easier to not lose. There are general instructions that comes with the package. Since I have smaller hands it’s easy to guide and hold. As others have said in other reviews after a bit, the handle does warm up not to me it’s not too uncomfortable. I like how short where your grip is to where the tips it almost feels like holding a pencil. I will be trying out all the tips to get familiar with each of them. The item as a whole seems to be pretty durable esp as a beginner user. As long as you do not over tighten, and make sure the tip is fully pushed in, it is quite sturdy and accurate for what I want/need to use it for. When I work with the burner more I’ll give any updates I feel that someone else could benefit from. I would recommend and if I feel the need to purchase another one I wouldn’t hesitate! Thanks!

My first time trying pyrography. I selected this pen over the other beginner pens because: 1) The wire tips heat up faster and to a much higher temperature and cools down faster than the pens which are screw on so it’s easier to write and draw without having to go over lines over and over again and also you can easily change the tips. 2) The tips are closer to your finger, so you have more control, like using a pencil vs other pens, you have to hold them far from the tip. 3) This pen is comfortable to use, my fingers don’t get hot. I read reviews of other brand beginner pens when people have to turn it off because they can’t hold the hot pen. One disadvantage of this pen is that it doesn’t come with decorative design stamping tips and there is no option to do so, as it’s not a screw on tip, so you don’t have option to use the letters/numbers/little flower stamping tips like the other beginner pens. But you can certainly write and draw them with this pen. Overall I am happy with my purchase and the projects I’ve made after watching YouTube for ideas.

My fiancé and I worked on a project where we needed a wood burner gun and we bought this because the price was right. I’m glad that it got the job done, even though if we got a more quality machine, it would’ve been easier to do the work that we needed to do but for beginners this is a great product that will help you get your project done. It gets hot really fast the different blades work. You just need to make sure you practice to figure out which one is the one that you need to get the exact look you’re looking for when you’re burning into the wood.

Little but man does it do it's job. I've had another wood burning tool that I got from a hobby store and it was a good little tool. But getting this, omg its amazing. This one is the best one ever. Now yes I gave it a 4-star because of a few things. 1. Man does that tool/wand you hold gets really hot and almost couldn't hold it, so I had to purchase fitted heat resistant gloves so I can use it more. 2. Why are the cords so short. The cord to the wand from the unit is short and gets very warm too which is weird. And the cord to the main unit is short too. So keep that in mind where you want to use it. Now onto the whole tool itself. The main unit with the temp control is heavy so you don't have to worry about it moving much. The little metal tips are amazing. They are very sturdy and made extremely well. For the price, this kit is so worth it. Not very hard to figure out how to use it since the instructions aren't very helpful. Just takes some practice with the tool to understand it more. Picture is my first project using the tool and not really practicing either.
