Description

The LG ProBeam BU50N 5000-Lumen HDR XPR 4K UHD Laser DLP Projector. It has a maximum brightness of 5000 lumens and can project a 100" image from 9.4 to 15.2' from your screen or wall to offer placement versatility. It uses XPR processing technology to create 4K UHD images on your screen or wall, and HDR10 compatibility provides bright, vibrant colors with compatible sources and content. It features a built-in web browser for easy navigation and content searching with the included remote control. Integrated Wi-Fi and HDBaseT connectivity provide internet access and allow you to mirror content from compatible smart devices. Two HDMI inputs provide wired connectivity for your digital high-definition devices like cable boxes or Blu-ray players, and the two USB ports allow you to connect compatible drives for multimedia playback. The BU50NST has two 5W speakers built-in, plus a wired analog audio output, allowing you to listen to your source with nearly any system.

We purchased the projector for community movie nights on a 33’ inflatable screen. Image is nice and clear at dusk. Can still see screensaver faintly even around 4:30 in the afternoon when there is still a lot of day light. Very nice! My old one I had to wait to align and program until dark but not with this one. Update: So after a few movie nights I did notice the contrast could be better which is some of the complaints about this projector however it is still very usable as is and has a nice bright clear picture. My biggest complaint is, when I bought the projector the description spoke about the projector having screen warping settings which helps orient the picture properly if the projector is not perfectly centered on the screen. It does NOT have that function. You only get lense shift up and down and left and right, no warping adjustments though which is frustrating. I pulled up the manual and did a search in it as well and it mentions nothing on that too. Update 2: After testing a couple other films I decided to send it back. While the picture is bright enough there are many times in anything that’s not animated (pretty much any real life film) that there is not enough contrast in the images resulting in an image that’s not amazing for the price of the projector. You can still see the image but for instance in dark scenes there is not a lot of separation in the shades of colors resulting in images that look a lot darker than they should. We decided to send the projector back and find one that has higher contrast for our needs along with the brightness this projector offers. ... show more

    • Outstanding Projector. Bright and incredible detail.
i was skeptical about a 'Laser' Projector with no way of changing the 'Bulb'. Yet 20,000 hours is quite a bit of time. Purchased a second one for another project!
