I love the light weight, the speed and display is clear and crisp. My last laptop had a heavy screen and the "top" began to separate under the stress of opening and closing after a couple years. This one is so light I don't see that being a risk! But I find that after a full charge, the estimated battery life is only about 4-5 hours. The product description claims it is in the double digits: "up to 23.5 hrs non-stop power" and "up to 14 hrs video playback." If those results only occur under very specific conditions that minimize power use, then caveat emptor! Under normal usage, you'll get 4-5 hours. Misleading, at best. ... show more

After 1 and a half months of use with no mechanical or water damage whatsoever the display began having issues. Within a day the display gave up entirely. Both LG and Amazon have no support. LG has not replied to multiple emails for over a week. Amazon advises to contact LG. I decided to as a result purchase a Lenovo X1, a laptop with a reputation for some actual reliability. LG made the laptop thinner then it can handle and sacrificed reliability. It was a $1.5k lesson. Please don’t make the same mistake! ... show more

So I purchased this laptop as a "Used like new" and the product I received from Hott Tech Geek was absolutely not "like new", be it manufacturing defect or the unit that they sent me. While the package appeared sealed, after setting it up, the colors on the display contrast and gamma was completely off. I've taken a few pictures on my phone as proof and here's the issues: Color contrast: the lines practically dont appear past the initial darker shades White contrast: only first set of squares have different contrast and gray/white can bee seen. Gamma: Gamma point of 2.2 is and instead the calibration is at 1.3 Keeping these review and pictures as proof for my return of this item. I take it with me everywhere especially being how light it is. But it is also very fast. Gets hot at times but I don't mind as it only happens when you try to play games with it, which isn't how you should be using it. Great for school or work purposes.
