In spite of cheap build quality, I purchased a second LG Gram to replace my first-generation one after my first one died from water damage (an entire vase full of water spilled onto the computer) The photo is of my first LG Gram, showing where the finish came off from where my wrists rest on the laptop. The right hinge became a little loose, too, over time. But overall I was happy with the laptop, so was happy to see they had an updated version, and didn't hesitate to buy it. It seems identical to the first, except with an even longer-lasting battery. I travel fairly extensively, and this laptop is perfect for me. Once you feel the lightness of this laptop, anything else feels like a ton of bricks. I like the keyboard a lot, the screen is bright, and I have become a convert to touchscreens, and won't ever have another laptop without one. The sound is not great, but I don't use my laptop to listen to music or watch movies. I don't believe there is a lighter laptop of this size made, with a touchscreen, and such a long battery life, so I'm willing to overlook the cheap build quality. ... show more

I purchased this for its light weight, long battery life, ability to use as a laptop or in tablet form, 16 GB RAM and 1TB of M.2 2280 SSD (Solid State Drive). Additional storage available through a microSD card slot. It comes with a stylus pen, which I find useful to sign documents to file/email, without the need to print out, sign and scan. The only drawback of this laptop is the weak speakers (1.5W x 2). Not a problem if you are in a quiet space and the speakers can reflect on a desk or other table; but, they are muffled if you have it on your lap. The sound with earphones/earbuds is great; so, if you use earphones/earbuds on a regular basis, no problem. It has 2 USB 3.1 ports, a type C Thunderbolt 3 port (a RJ45 Ethernet converter included), a 3.5 headphone jack, and a separate port to plug in the charger. (Can also charge using the type C Thunderbolt 3 port. The fingerprint sensor is built in to the power button; and, works extremely. ... show more

This is a fantastic product! Here's what I love: * Super lightweight. 2.3 pounds. I use a work laptop that is slightly lighter, but the LG is much faster. The LG Gram is not the lightest or thinnest notebook you will use, but it's veeerrryyy close. Chassis is not metal, it's a magnesium alloy - looks like plastic but very tough and flexible. * Fast and multi-functional. My model had a 10-Gen Intel Core i7 with 16GB of RAM and NVME SSDs. Love the tablet function with touch screen and included pen. Very responsive, and LG includes the Nebo app to make pen usage very easy. * Storage space. This version came with 1 TB of storage. * Build Quality. The hinge is appropriately flexible, but not floppy or too rigid. When you fold it over into tablet mode, everything is flush and tight. * Battery Life! After a full charge, this will work for more than 10 hours on "normal" settings, e.g. everyday screen brightness, keeping the battery tuned for performance vs. battery life. If you want, it can give you 20 hours of battery life. Drawbacks: * Build Quality. While the magnesium alloy chassis gives you flexibility and very light weight, I was concerned about the durability of the notebook over time. It's tough and impact resistant, but the case does flex. I think I'd be concerned long-term about what happens to the LCD, and even the memory or storage as the case goes through multiple patterns of flex and bend. * Storage. While you get 1TB of storage, you get that with 2 SSDs. The SSDs are NVME, but not the ultimate fastest drives. * Screen brightness. The screen tops out at 306 nits - it's good but not great. I loved this LG, but I ultimately went with another brand. But at 2.3 pounds, with a high end Intel Core i7 CPU, 16 GB of memory, and 1 TB of storage, this is going to please a lot of people. It's great for business, and for pleasure - it will travel easily with you wherever you go, and be very dependable. This will give you 5-7 years of great usage if you take care of it. ... show more

    • Awesome little laptop
I have been looking online comparing this to the Lenovo Yoga C940, and I ended up going with the Gram, mainly because it was $200.00 off on amazon). This laptop is used for work, and is a replacement for my 10 year old 15.6" DELL that had about 15 minutes of battery while off the charger. This laptop really does go ALL DAY. I come in to work at 8:00AM, and take it off the charger, and I don't have to plug it back in until about 5:00PM when it gets down to about 10% battery. This thing is also incredibly light. The keyboard is very nice to type on, but takes a little getting used to not having the 10 key. Overall I would highly recommend this laptop! ... show more

    • An okay computer that falls apart.
I got this laptop for graphic design and illustration work. The touch screen works well enough but doesn't have the level of accuracy needed for illustration work like a Wacom or XP-Pen tablet might have. Creative Suite runs okay and I found that it crashes a lot. Because of that I ended up going with a different laptop for most of my work. It runs fairly smoothly. The battery works fine. It is super light weight as well. It can handle modern games, which is a nice bonus. The speakers are mediocre. The screen on/off button is oddly placed and I end up accidentally turning it off when I pick up the laptop most of the time. The biggest detractor is that this product is FLIMSY. I use this laptop for an average of 2hrs/day for the last 7 months and it already looks 5 years old. Typing on the keyboard warps the very thin plastic case. Opening and closing the screen feels like it could snap at any second. The plastic is warping and discoloring where my hands sit in front of the keyboard. The keyboard keys have started falling off.
