The unit has 3 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer to create a cooling schedule. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. received first ac unit and after being installed, it would not power up. I contacted amazon and they quickly put in for a pickup and for a new ac unit to be shipped to me. within three days I had the new unit. Powered it up BEFORE installing to make sure new one worked. It worked great! cools nicely and works as should. it does make a bit of noise while running so if you're a light sleeper this may not be the unit for you, but it's not a loud noise just a medium volume humming sound. overall, very pleased and going to order another one for one of our other rooms. ... show more

I needed to upgrade my living room AC - I had a very nice Frigidaire Gallery unit, but it was loud and just not powerful enough to cool the room. It was a little confusing to set up, since it does not come put together all the way... so heads-up on that. However, once you do install it, it works great. Keeps our kitchen, small hallway, and living room - about 600/800 square feet - nice and cool even on the hottest days!!

Purchased this and it would not cool the room at all. Even went out of the way and got an LG service man out to my house to look at it and was told because the temp dropped back down because 60 they couldnt do anything about it . Then called when it got hot again and was told it was too long after purchased time frame to get serviced . But when I tried to return it I was told I couldn’t . It never worked and we had to go find another AC unit to use and lost out on 400 dollars!! So so disappointing . ... show more

Why I gave it 4 rather than five stars. It requires drilling holes in the woodwork. My wife said NFW. I had to design a different mounting system. I used 3 lengths of 2x2, two can be seen in the photo. The one on top secures it from going out the window. The one on the bottom supports the weight. The one on the bottom outside the screen frame sets how far in the unit can come. The required screws go into the 2x2s rather than the window frame. The mounting is very stable. The air conditioner works great. It keep the front half (kitchen, family room, dining room, and living room) of the house very comfortable even in 90+ degree weather. It has WiFi that configures with the house system easily. The app works well. It interfaces with Alexa fine. When we forget to set up the temperature when leaving home for a few days, it’s simple to do it from our phones anywhere. In October we will remove it from the window for the winter.     • Fairly quiet, uses a LOT less energy than my older unit
I already have a Sharp 12000 BTU, it makes the lights blink and eventually burned out a socket. This uses only 900 watts and has none of those issues. It is quieter as well. It is has ThinQ tech but much like their laundry units it is only for reporting information and not for control like their TV units, I have a C1. I would recommend using the remote. My buttons on the unit are already showing wear unlike the remote. Timer can not be turned off so be careful. Even unplugging it did not reset it. I had to leave it unplugged for hours. It does have additional fan only and dehumidify modes as well so you can use it when you do not need cooling but it is humid, like now in my area. WiFi was easy to setup. It now connects by default. I do not really use the app much. Maybe more in the future. ... show more

I bought this because the last one had gotten so loud I couldn’t hear the TV. This was the same size and BTU. It shipped and arrived before they stated. Box was in good shape. Installation was more difficult than it should be. The screws provided were self tapping and were hard to screw in. Once the shell was in the window it was easy installing the rest. It cooled the room well despite being bigger than the recommended. Even on High the sound of the fan was reasonable and didn’t notice after while. I was able set up the WiFi and integrate it with Alexa. All and all it was exactly what was needed. ... show more

    • Best Air Conditioner I ever owned
I bought the WIFI model so it has an LG ThinQ App that I use with my phone. The App even has a Self Diagnostic Test you can run if you think something is wrong. My only complaint is the A/C thermometer is attached to the front of the unit instead of being either REMOTE or allowing me to reposition it further from the unit via a longer cable. This causes my A/C unit to think the room is actually colder than it really is and the built-in thermostat is reading a colder reading than the room's actual temperature. ... show more
