I bought this AC unit due to its description as bieng ultra quite and compact. Before I had this unit I was using a TCL 6,000 BTU 115-Volt Window Air Conditioner and man that thing was LOUD! The description also said it was similar db but there is no way, the difference is crazy. Luckily I was within my retun window for the TCL. If you are purchasing with noise in mind this one is pretty good and it cools well! I have a Midea U Shaped Window Air Conditioner 12,000 BTU as well in the living room and the LG is not as quite but its definitly better then standard non ultra quite window air conditioning units that are similar BTU. I wouldint pay attention to anyone in the review section that says it isnt if they have no comparison. In my opinion this purchase was well worth the extra money. Note the 5000 btu is even quiter by abit so theres that, I have yet to test but I woudint doubt it. You may save more with another brand but if your trying to get a quite window unit that performs well this one is it. If you find one that quiter at the same btu and around the same size lmk. I love this AC because it’s so quiet and efficient. Unfortunately, it’s flawed because the control display is on top of the unit instead of in front. This is an inconvenience because it renders the remote control almost useless for anything much more than the on-off function. One has to walk up to the unit to view the settings. I wish the manufacturer would redesign this AC. ... show more

    • Nice little unit and it works well. Much more quiet than the one it replaced
I wondered about this unit as it did not have a lot of reviews. I decided that this was because it was a newer model. I am delighted and it does an excellent job of cooling. Installation was relatively easy.

Im not a LG person honestly with anything bc always a problem happens and hopefully-doesn’t with this🤲🏼!!! But was easy to Instal a great bedroom AC only have had a day but so far love it
