    • These are all connected by a wire. units I bought from another vendor were individually powered.

UPDATE: I installed these on September 14. They stopped working on October 23. They were not touched and we haven't had any wind or bad weather. I may have just gotten a bad one, but for me, 2 stars is generous considering the short life-span. What’s great about these lights: 1) They are easy to install 2) They are bright 3) The charge lasts all night. The last picture shows them at 6 AM 4) They are attractive at night (as a clump of lights) What I would change: 1) It is hard to achieve a random firefly pattern and they tend to clump. 2) If the stalks were different lengths it would look more natural and organic 3) If the stalks were a dark green they would blend in better during the day and would still disappear at night 4) In the flash mode they all turn on and off together. A twinkle mode would give a nicer effect and is a common setting for LED lights. 5) They seem a little stiff but they probably need to be so they hold up. There was very little wind, last night so I don’t know how much of a breeze it would take to make them sway Buy them if you want some nice lights, but you will be disappointed if the firefly effect is important to you. I really wanted the firefly effect but I will still enjoy them. Since they don’t “twinkle” I will leave them in the “constant on” mode. I find that more restful than flashing. ... show more

The solar panel I guess is very sensitive to light. I literally had to place the solar portion face down on the ground in order for them to light up. I still like them but any amount of light the sensor will not turn them on.
