5 month Update: I’m raising the review from 2 to 4 stars after getting the replacement. The piano itself does what I’ve been needing it for - light travel and for practice. I consider myself slightly above an intermediate pianist and I would say this would be great for beginners and can pass for intermediate playing. It has just enough travel and somewhat “weighted keys” for velocity. Keyboard is also great to take along for simple sing alongs at small gatherings, but def not full jam sessions. Built in speakers are okay but when connected to external speakers sounds better. 2 great features that I like about this is you can play only half the keyboard and that it has a sustain button function in case you don’t want to carry around or forget to bring sustain pedal that comes with it. The only 2 downsides of this item is when your playing the flats/sharps as chords it can be difficult to press as the top 1/4 of all the keys seemed to be stiff as it is attached to the base of the keyboard if that makes sense. Also I’ve discovered and read from other reviews here about certain keys that had stop working. This happened to me as well, but I was able to figure out what caused it which is the keyboard not being totally on a flat surface which affects the connection circuit. So if the piano is even slightly dangling on the edge of a table it can cause keys on the right hand side of the (connected) keyboard to not work. I also own the carry on folding piano and this was a way better purchase for use in my opinion. Original review: I had ordered this product brand new as it came in today and it came completely used, dirty and a mess inside the box with all the wires and parts ripped out of its packaging. Extremely disappointing as unboxing a new package is part of what makes it exciting. There are sticky tape marks below the keys, human hair underneath the keyboard and the piano itself with the accessory’s and manual were just thrown in the box with no regard for possible damage. The first thing I did when opening was to make sure the keys worked which it did but the wear and tear damage is uncertain. The head phone jack for speaker has static which could be the result of the poor used packaging. I didn’t even want to continue using it as I feel it could break any second. I have never had to return or exchange an item so I need to figure out to get this exchanged. Very disappointed with Amazon for allowing this to happen. Just terrible I left it with a star for the potential that this could have been a great unit from what I sampled.

[PROBLEM SOLVED] : I thought lost all preset tunes after using it one or two times... I could hear all the 127 different sounds but they suddenly disapeared. SOLUTION : THERE IS ONLY ONE SOUND WHEIN USING HALF OF THE KEYBOARD. ALL SOUNDS ARE AVAILABLE WHEN CONNECTING THE TWO PARTS. [REVIEW] It is not a great keyboard but for the price, it is a great solution for practicing when traveling (even in a shack without any AC power with a solar USB panel and a USB powerpack). The keys are a bit spongy but there are some different velocities. I can use it as a MIDI controller in my DAW. The preset's sound of piano is acceptable for practice.

Is a cheap piano through and through, it feels cheap, it sounds cheap and feels like it might break at anytime, nonetheless is very portable and it will survive on it's own with it's battery so that's very cool. All in all, this is NOT a main instrument, nor is for someone who "wants to try out playing piano," this is more like a side instrument you can practice in while you're traveling, otherwise is a terrible choice. I'm satisfied with my purchase, it lets me get a little practice every night while I'm away and unable to play my main piano, the sound is not that great and the "weighted keys" feel awkward as hell but still I'm getting the mechanical practice I need and I'm cool with it.

Nice sounding keyboard . Well constructed , but the travel bag doesn't fit the entire keyboard . I tried looking for a way to contact the sellers, but I've been unable to do so.

It was good for a child but not for a real musician. After 4 months several of the keys stopped working and the clasp on the bottom broke. It is not worth the money.
