We bought this chair even though it had zero reviews on Amazon. We'd looked at a few similar chairs on Wayfair and Amazon, like the Alvarado Lounge Chair on Wayfair for $211. We chose this one because we liked the aesthetics better and it was $185. Overall, I'd rate it average due to the excess amount of packaging, the back rest not being very comfortable, and the design not really matching the photos. The chair was not shipped on Prime and took about a week to arrive. The first thing I noticed was the ridiculous amount of styraphone used to package this chair. It's a padded chair! Does it really need this much styraphone? I'd prefer to see the company use a heavier weight cardboard box instead of all the interior styraphone. The box is like the inside of a cooler, completely lined. Strangely, the wood legs, which need the most padding, were loosely wrapped in padded paper. Assembly was easy enough, although there are some "carriage bolts" that you have to manually insert which is a bit awkward. These should really be pre-installed. After installing, I set it up in my room. It looks awesome in front of my vintage hifi system. It would be nice if the company pre-installed felt pads, which I manually installed. I didn't get the cut perfect so it doesn't look all that great. Maybe they could ship optional, perfect-fit felt pads. The upholstery work is not stellar. Some rippling is visible towards the back of the cushion and front. On the stock photo, the butt cushion is much more rounded than what I received. The woodwork is outstanding. The arm rests are beautifully situated. I'd rate the back rest 1 or 2 stars. There's a cross beam inside the cushion that I felt the instant I sat in the chair. Overall, I love the design of the chair and the way it sits in the room. The practicality and comfort of it is another story. I'm keeping the box as I might end up returning it and get the slightly more expensive Wayfair chair instead. ... show more

I am looking for an accent piece that is good for reading. This is perfect. This chair looks even better in person. The blue color is true to the photo and the fabric is textured. This is a very nice looking chair. The wooden armrest and legs appear to be made out of real wood. wood finish is very smooth and soft to the touch. There's also a very sturdy chair. I ordered the blue fabric. It is very nice-looking. I would not purchase this chair if you are looking for a chair to sit in for long periods of time. It is a very firm chair. The backrest does not have a lot of padding. I would highly recommend this chair if you intend to put it in a guest room or hallway. Assembly was relatively simple. I was able to do it by myself. I read reviews before buying and I'm pretty cautious buying online so I was worried about a few negative reviews. I decided on this chair anyway and I must say I'm really enjoying it. Assembly was very easy, maybe taking 15 to 20 min. At first sitting I found the chair to be sturdy and the cushions quite comfortable. This was important because I'm 6 ft 210 lbs. And worried it would be small or not sturdy.Everything turned out well though. looks and feels of good quality . I really like the wood as well (Also cushions). I can't see why I wouldn't have this chair for years if I wanted to it's well made. I'd buy it again I'm actually just deciding on another color of this same chair. The chair arrived early. Easy to put together, about 10 min. Fairly comfortable. I am 6'4 1/2, the arm rest are a little short for me, but managable. Overall, I am satisified with my purchase.

I was really hesitant to buy these, but glad I did. They are not the most comfortable chair. But, with use, I’ve found them to get a little softer over time (at least the bottom cushion). For the back, I purchased a nice memory foam lumbar pillow, and they’ve worked out to be the missing element to make these pretty comfortable sitting chair.
