I like the way that when you grab the handle it presses the release and you can remove the handle onehanded. It's lighter and longer than my solid metal ones and doesn't chip the fiberglass when dropped. You can grab it two handed with one around the shaft and one on top to give you different points of leverage. ... show more

Great winch handle. Used it grinding a Genoa on a j120 all summer. The teeth are aluminum. Seems to be wearing a little bit to no effect. We didn’t go easy on the handle either.

These are my favorite winch handles. Very easy to insert and remove. Good leverage. The design of the handle makes it easy to use in any position or with one or two hands. Now if my crew would stop tossing them overboard, I wouldn't have to buy so many of them. :)

There is an identical winch handle that is made of a composite material which I thought would be better (less likely to chip the gel coat if droped). However, after about five years in the Caribbean, the handles started to develop cracks. Maybe they are just cosmetic, but I was not willing to roll the dice. These are the same design, in a metal alloy. They are heavier, but I know these will not succumb to the UV light. ... show more
