These pumps are absolute junk. They last on average 3 months. The sellers are great about replacing them a couple of times but after a couple of replacements they fail to do any more. I personally have had nine (9) of these units in the past year including replacements, not a single one is still working. I housed them in ventilated, weatherproof boxs in spite of their stand alone weatherproof statement. I'm in Virginia, ie temperate climate and they crap out one after the other. It wouldn't be a problem except the cost is too great for the lack of longevity!!! ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Test how long it would last. I am empress with this system, it’s still pumping day and night. I do have to clean the solar panel, birds keeps doing their business on it. The price was attractive too. Air flow: It recommended to split each tube to two stone, but it did not produce enough bubbles. Ended using one for each tube.     • Great aeration and battery life but doesn't last long after purchase
After less than a year, the latest one of these things has failed. The pump shows 4 batteries but does not push any air. This is an expensive item to have to rebuy and the replacement pumps are no longer available. The product works great when it works but I've gone through 2 pumps now, with one having the hose fuse to the aerator connection and failing and this one seemingly completely failing. The panel and batteries have lasted well but there is no point if the aerator pump fails. ... show more

I use this in a 3,000 gallon goldfish pond in woods of property. It doesn’t get a huge amount of direct sun but on setting three runs all day and night and stays charged. With setting one on high it will some days be off as it hasn’t charged up enough. I did weight the ends with padlocks that way they would go down deeper as the tubing is full of air and would float. ... show more

This will only work for about a year, if that, the cords wil go bad, but when you replace, the plastic breaks :/ they work great until then.

    • Stopped working after 3 months
I bought this product in May 2024. Initially, it worked great - battery charges enough during the day to keep going through the night. However, after about a month, the pump would just stop on its own, even though the battery had plenty of charge. If I hit the "On" button, it would start again and run for a while, but then eventually stop on its own again. Now, the pump will not start at all anymore. Very disappointed. ... show more
