Got this for my garage. The light emitted by the garage door openers isn't enough when backing in or driving in, especially at night. I have these super bright LED panels designed for illuminating a garage as part of the garage ceiling lights but how to turn them on when entering the garage? This Leviton motion sensing switch! Works well and very easy to install (if you're comfortable with replacing a light switch or electrical outlet). DO turn off electricity to the switch BEFORE you start. The only challenging part is the 'programming' of the switch for how long the lights stay on, sensitivity to motion, etc. It's ok, just need to pay attention to detail. ... show more

These are the best. It took a little bit to install because there aren't grounds in the house, but after the first one it was easy. I love the automatic on especially for my laundry room and kitchen where I don't have to fumble for a switch when my arms are full, and I don't have to worry about lights left on. This unit works well and is programmable for on time after you leave. Easy to install but a little tricky to program. Read the instructions carefully! Deducted one star for the programming. This unit works well as an occupancy night light in our guest bathroom which uses an LED auxiliary bulb in the fan unit. You could use it on the regular over counter lights also. This bathroom has a large frosted window and it was able to be programmed for the additional light so it does not come on during the day. This switch replaced another well known brand that was unable to be programmed and wasted a lot of my time diagnosing the issue. Very efficient operation ... show more

Bought one for master closet and one for pantry. Installation and programming instructions clear. They work like they're supposed to. Be advised, they don't come with Decora wall plate so if you're replacing a regular wall switch you'll need to order them too.

This sensor actually works. I wanted a sensor for our pantry that only turned on when the pantry was entered and only stayed on for one minute after leaving. The programming directions were a bit confusing but after a couple of tries it works beautifully. I purchased a Lutron earlier but it was too sensitive and stayed on for 20 minutes.
