The finish is matte, and looks great in jeans or slacks. I appreciate the thickness -- it's very sturdy, but not too thick and fits easily in my loops. The buckle is sturdy and simple, making it easy to operate when combines with the generous holes well spaced on the belt. One reason to pay a little (not much) more for a Levi's brand belt is you know it will last, it will arrive in great condition, and you know it won't smell funny like so many cheap leather products do -- in fact, it's neutral. Belt is described as size "Medium (34-36)" - my waist is currently about 35 - the picture I supplied is of the belt with size 36 jeans (which are currently a bit loose on me). In the end, the sizing is accurate, and for me, quite comfortable (in the pic, the buckle tongue is in the 4th hole; as such, leaving plenty of room to go to the third hole if/when my waiste expands a bit). I'm very satisfied with the overall appearance of the belt. Dressy enough to go with dockers/chinos, yet casual enough to go with jeans. The material (whether legit leather or not) seems to be of good quality - I'll be interested to see how it holds up over the upcoming weeks/months (the coating on previous belts had started to peel, especially around the holes, after a year or so). In the end - this belt is well worth the $20 I paid for it. ... show more

The leather feels premium and the buckle is solid. However, after using it for a while, the belt started to deform slightly around the back. It still looks good, but I expected it to hold its shape better.

I prefer a wider belt to wear with my jeans. This belt looks good and feels good when wearing it. I like the double rivet for extra durability. Fit as expected. It is split leather for affordability, but it doesn't feel cheap or plasticy. It feels soft and supple like a top leather belt would feel. So far there is no unusual wear and tear on the belt.
