I got this for professional use so my tools aren't lying on a towel that collects hair and that they would stay put. This thing collects so much hair that will not dust off with a brush or bursts of air. I have to scrub it really hard with a bristle brush and soap every few hours or it looks like a poodle. It is nonslip for tools, but easily slides along my station. It would be a good product for at home use to set down a curling iron or flat iron so it doesn't scorch the counter but for heavy duty professional use, it does get filthy quickly ... show more

I got this for a good grip on my clippers so they wouldn’t slide off the counter when their cords are caught with my foot or the broom. It’s not rubbery it’s slick and the raised “grips” are just stiff. It’s better upside down but then it’s a hair magnet. Not recommended.
