This mattress is a perfect balance of soft but firm. I saw a few reviews that mentioned it was “very firm” or “too firm” and I would have to disagree. It’s actually a very good mattress and has a good amount of softness from the pillow top. Mattress isn’t “too hard” believe me I would’ve returned it immediately. Mattress lives up to the description. I got the Queen 14inch since I do have a platform bed with wood slacks, to avoid gaps at the foot and headboard. Highly recommend getting a bookie board if you have slacks on the platform. It allows the mattress to lay flat and no movement of the wooden slacks. 10/10 mattress, high recommend for my side sleepers and ppl who have lower back and neck pain. ... show more

So we have never bought a mattress in a box, so that was a pretty cool experience to watch it sort of inflate in an instant. You can see in my video it really just pops up when some air gets into the mattress. It did take a whole 24 hours to puff completely out, and many of the wrinkles you see in my pics and video have now smoothed out. For the price I think this is a wonderful twin mattress. It’ll be going in my nephews bedroom as soon as it’s ready. I may also be purchasing another one depending on the first week or so of sleep. (Two nephews with a twin bed each) I wanna make sure it is going to work out first and their room is being updated at the moment. Even though it’s an XL twin mattress, I measured and it does fit the twin bed frame we have already. The mattress pad that’s built in on the top took the longest to completely puff back out, but once it did it felt super cushioned. Set up was a breeze. The hardest part was taking all the plastic off but they provide a special tool to help you. When we laid on it right out of the package before completely puffing back out, you could feel the springs on your back, but after 24 hours the bed became much more solid and firm and you can’t feel the springs inside now. The outer fabric is soft and slightly textured feeling. The trimming around the edges is very solid and well done. In one of my pics you can see the bottom of the mattress is a different type of material. It seems to be a protective barrier in case of accidents (like wetting the bed) which I found to be very cool. Particularly because this mattress is for a 7 and 9 year old. Overall, for the price I think this is a really good value. I was skeptical about it coming in a box. The convenience of it doesn’t take away from the mattresses quality at all, in fact we were pleasantly surprised and it’s given me some confidence about purchasing other furniture or household items that come vacuum sealed like this mattress. Something else I noticed, that I’m sure other multi-pet homes can relate with. We’ve seen nice pet beds/couches half the size that cost as much as this mattress. I have genuinely considered getting them a twin mattress as a giant pet bed they can share. I haven’t yet, but the cost, quality and convenience of this Letmoon 8 inch twin xl mattress makes the bed idea much more compelling. ... show more

I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order. Why I ordered this item: I needed a new mattress for my guest room and wanted something that wouldn't break the bank but also wouldn't feel like sleeping on cardboard. Twin XL was the right size for the space I had. Likes: * This thing is really comfy. The memory foam layer on top feels nice without being too squishy, and the springs underneath give it just the right amount of bounce. * I had my kid test it by jumping around on one side while I laid on the other, and I could barely feel anything. When she bounced hard, I just felt tiny vibrations instead of getting tossed around. * I'm someone who runs hot when I sleep, and this mattress doesn't trap heat like some foam ones I've tried. The fabric on top feels breathable and doesn't get sticky. * I just unboxed it, let it expand for maybe a day, and it was ready to go. No weird chemical smell either. * You can sit right on the corner and it doesn't collapse or feel wonky at all. No likes: * It's pretty heavy for a twin XL. Moving this thing around is definitely a two-person job. Not really a No Like, but not a Like either. The LETMOON XL twin mattress started to inflate immediately after the the heavy duty plastic casing was cut and removed. The total inflation process was allowed to continue for several days until no further changes could be seen. In general, the consistency of inflation was good, the only exceptions were the corners, which had small areas where the mattress was underinflated. This medium firm support mattress was ordered to be placed in a guestroom. Therefore, no one has slept on it for a full night yet. I have sat on it, as well as lain across it. It's not firm enough to support my personal needs, but I'm sure the youngsters who visit will be quite comfortable based on my sleeping experiences both as a child and young adult. For it's use in a guestroom, it's a definite positive that the design favors back and side sleepers. As described, it was relatively easy to handle; I was able to drag the box over the doorway despite my physical limitations. And my daughter was able to unbox and lay it flat by herself.
