I prefer wearing big hats, but I do wear facial sunscreen. I didn't believe how wide the brim really was, until I unfolded it. It is a huge hat! I do wish the crown was bigger for my big square head, but it works well. The first time I wore it, was a small town 4th of July festival. Shaded my head, neck and shoulders very well. The brim holds its shape. Not a heavy hat. I got compliments. Getting in and out of vehicles with it, takes a bit of work. Handwashing it will be a challenge. I decided I liked the color. Darker than I thought. Would be good in the rain!

I like the very big brim on this hat that protects my skin when I am outdoors. It adjusts two ways first the chin strap and then around the circumference of your head for those extra windy days. I like the mechanism that is used to tighten the hat, you simply pinch and pull the strip loop release and it locks in place. It also helps prevent my migraines from too much sun exposure. I think it is a great hat. I wear it everyday.

I bought this to wear to my children’s sports events since being outside in the direct sun was tiring, especially during tournament times. It worked just as intended. Only thing I didn’t like was that it shipped folded. But I just had to reshape it and lay it under something heavy. It tends to keep the shape of folded so I had to just make sure to keep shaping it back out if it happened. But works well. I’m going to order the one with the pony tail hole next but it wouldn’t on time so I chose this instead. But highly recommend!

Online the light grey appears to be a bluish grey. The hat I got is a muddy grey so returned and ordered the navy. I am a female but have a large head so often need mens hats, this just fits. I appreciate the very wide brim to protect fave & back of neck. It also has crown ventilation which is a big plus. The crown is not deep so the adjustable chin strap will be needed when at the beach.
