    • In all fairness
I try to be fair and objective in all of my reviews because I see so many that aren't, and that is wrong. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. Let me explain. The laptop worked fine. By "fine," it was super slow out of the box. I turned off some unnecessary processes, which significantly improved performance. A month ago the USB-C port lost its dual display functionality. I tried to use Lenovo's support site and that got me nowhere. I submitted a ticket, and they closed it out, stating that the purchase was made in Nigeria. The truth is, the purchase was made, and the product was delivered to Texas. I said that in my email response, and I never heard back from them. I called in, and the African gentleman who answered transferred me to the Philippines after I told him that neither I nor this laptop had ever been to Africa. The Filipino woman summarily dismissed everything I said because her system said the laptop was shipped to Africa. Even still, I argued, fussed, and complained for an hour and ultimately asked that the issue be escalated to a supervisor. She was in a rush to get off the phone, and it was evident within the first few minutes of our conversation. I told her that multiple times. Her recommended "fix" for their system integrity issues was for me to go back to Amazon and have them update their database. I suggested that, since I'm the customer, they should take ownership of the issue that I didn't cause and work with Amazon to fix it. I think she thought that was an absurd recommendation, and she placed me on hold for a supervisor. After 15 minutes or so of waiting for a member of management, she assured me that someone from leadership would call me within an hour. It's been 1.5 weeks, and I still haven't heard from them. ... show more

    • Great well rounded laptop
Fantastic little work laptop. I'm able to write up all my session notes really easily and still be able to play dragon age origins on it too. I wouldn't push it to play any bigger games, but that's what my PC is for.

This is definitely worth the money. A quick great computer. I need it for work. However the @ is miss labeled. The @ symbol is normal over 2 button but the @ button is labeled on ‘ key on this computer.

I bought this for retro gaming, and it works flawlessly. I would recommend this for someone who just something that is not needing something fast but sturdy. Once you have it charged made sure to get a good antivirus and passworded if you are going to use it outside your own home network. This is not for hi end games but i found it well suited for older pre 2010 games and other similar time programs. Sized and memory are a major plus. ... show more

Excellent laptop for the price

    • Use caution when buying from PC Outlets
I purchased this laptop from PC Outlets in late February, it was received in early March. In early August it stopped working, it would not power on. I took it to a repair shop , where I was told that it was a defective motherboard and I should contact Lenovo, since it was still within the 1 year warranty which comes standard with Lenovo laptops. However, upon contacting Lenovo, I was told this laptop was made in Nigeria and the warranty could not be honored in the US. My only solution in using the warranty would to ship this $400 laptop to Nigeria and I was told that I would be responsible for shipping costs. I reached out to PC Outlets who said " Sorry, you are past the 30 day return period" , and " we do not support or advertise warranties, we do not price in the cost of the warranty as well to provide the most competitive price." The expectation with a warranty included of the purchase is that a customer should be able to evoke the warranty if needed. If you buy this laptop or any other product from PC Outlets, you should investigate the origin of the product, do NOT expect this company to assist you when they sell you a defective product.
