The T480 came in a securely packaged cardboard box. Taking it out of box, I was surprised to see a laptop that was in perfect condition with no sign of wear. I have been using the laptop for about a week and it functions perfectly with the exception that the battery life is not as long as I would have hoped but that is to be expected. I was pleasantly surprised to see it came with a Windows 11 Pro operating system; it was advertised as a Windows 10 Pro on Amazon. I was also surprised to see a type c power cord which was a plus for me because of all the type c “stuff” I have accumulated over the past few years.     • A great value on a very nice laptop with 4 USB 3 ports, illuminated keyboard, and touchscreen!
I needed to replace my old ThinkPad, and this looked like a good deal and had a 4 USB 3 ports which I need for my remote computer projects. Overall, the unit I received looked brand new, there wasn't a scratch or dent on it anywhere. It even arrived charged, so I opened it, did the Windows setup, and it was ready to go. The Windows battery report showed the battery had about 400 cycles, which is generally considered near end of life, but it still holds a charge for at least 3 hours of moderate use. I'll replace the battery and I hope to get many years of use out of this one! ... show more

Works fine and looks like new. I don't plan on using windows, so I installed Linux Mint. And it works perfectly with this laptop. Love it.

    • It does what it does best, low end gaming capable! (on older titles)
the i5-8350u may not be a powerful chip but you will absolutely be able to multitask and have multiple windows open. playing titles such as fallout 3 and new vegas is more than possible as I have tested thoroughly. HOWEVER one thing to note is that these laptops will NOT have their CPU repasted most of the time despite saying renewed or refurbished! please DO BE WARY that the temperatures your model may have while doing tasks will be much, much higher than intended! once you repaste the CPU with the appropriate thermal paste, this laptop SHINES. And allows you to push it as far as it can do as if it was brand new! absolutely perfect for low end gaming, great battery life, and if you really want to use it as a sims 2 or 3 machine, I'd say go ahead! Fable? Yep! just do not expect a game that requires any more power than an esports title to run perfectly ... show more

    • Battery issues
The PC was in good physical condition, however it will not hold a charge overnight when shut down. When fully charged I only got 1.5 hours of light browsing. When plugging/unplugging power cord the screen goes black for a couple of seconds.

    • TouchPad was broken
TouchPad was broken and I couldn't use it, kind of an important feature of an laptop. Also, some of the keys were not working on the keyboard. This shows the no quality control was performed on this product, they probably didn't even fix this item for a refurbished resell
